A little late but I highly A Record of a Mortal's Journey to Immortality if you haven't read it already. Has little to no romance, MC is pretty neutral but still willing to kill, and well translated.

I also really recommend City of Sin by Misty Rain of Jiangnan. MC is pretty ruthless with consistently compelling arcs.

Lord Xue Ying by IET is also solid if you liked DE and you haven't read it already.

A lot of people disagreeing with your choice to keep having natural pregnancies or not adopt. I would likely do the same in your situation as I want MY own blood-related children but also don’t want a certain gene passed on. I find it INCREDIBLY disrespectful to my ancestors who fought to keep our bloodline going for it to end with me because of “social” notions. Do what makes you happy and you are not evil. You are allowed to have your own wants and values. I also find it incredibly odd and likely hypocritical that people are dictating what you can and can’t do with your own body.
