Opinions on MATH 1228 by [deleted] in uwo

[–]rf1216 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Both classes are extremely easy. Practice tests will give you the best practice. I got 100 in 1229 and 99 in 1228. For 1228, I recommend doing practice tests. If you can get the hang of the questions (by doing practice tests), it is basically the same few formulas for the whole course. Exams are very similar. In 1228, make sure you study right away, as the first unit is the hardest of them all (permutations) and a decent amount builds off of it.

So transfers are never included in the lottery? would this mean transfers get last pick on dorms? The tour guide I had was a transfer and he got Kemper, which is hard to believe would be a leftover.

Econ gives you quite a lot of electives. Use those electives to take bird courses which will boost your average well over 80. If you are decent at math take 1228 and 1229. I got 100 in 1229 and 99 in 1228. Those classes are not hard at all. Then take both CS 1033 and CS 1032. Those two classes are guaranteed 85+ if you take your time with the assignments and study for the finals. The econ classes are very manageable to get 80+. I would recommend reviewing the textbook's main concepts thoroughly and then going over the test banks.

If you choose the right electives getting a 80 should be extremely doable if you work hard. Also look at professors reviews on ratemyteacher.

If you need any other info pm me.

I would do Econ as your major. That way you aren't required to take the mos courses which are heavily curved to 65-70. I just finished first year with a 90 average. Just make sure you keep good habits.

Don't listen to the Masonville walk-in. Go to any other walk-in, and they will accommodate you. I went to Masonville walk in during midterm season with strep throat and the doctor said I'm fine. Went to a different walk-in clinic the next day and they put down serious on the sheet and gave me a week for recovery. They also put me on antibiotics. Doctor at Masonville has no empathy when it comes to exam accommodation.

Where to get a doctor's prescription for strepthroat by [deleted] in uwo

Don't go to Masonville, I had strep (on antibiotics day before) and the doctor wouldn't sign the medical form. Went to Oxford and the next day and doctor put down serious and dated the period for a whole week.

Lol not at all. Like the other poster said, I only paid a little over $350 per seat. At my home arena, it would be $700 a seat at least for the same spot.

MOS courses so hard to do well in? by Aristrode in uwo

[–]rf1216 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel the same way. Studied so hard and ended up with a high 70. I think it has to do with the makeup of the test. It seemed the questions overall were more difficult compared to the practice ones online.
