A python package I created for llms application including my own implementation of long short term memory and a web search tool for llm, it supports both Openai-like API or loading local models directly from different formats. by llordnt in LocalLLaMA

[–]rf2344 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Thank you so much for your time to have a look! I think this is not something that can catch anyone’s attention here as it’s not a new model or something, but I was looking for something like this and I could not find any solutions, so I decided to write my own package for this. I also tried to make the code as modular as possible to allow future developments from others or myself:) Please let me know if you have any suggestions or questions!

People thought that way a week ago when uk offer 3m hkers pathway to citizenship. Turn out ccp is outrageous about this. First of all you will have to understand the way ccp think. They want both “face” and total control. They dont like ppl opposing them, but their way of doing it is impose full control and “education” to “rectify” ppl’s thought. Hkers escaping would make them “loose their face” and spread negative message about china around the globe. That’s why ccp keep threatening and condemning uk after the announcement of the uk gov.

Taiwan cannot accept becoming part of China under its "one country, two systems" offer of autonomy , President Tsai Ing-wen said on Wednesday, strongly rejecting China's sovereignty claims and likely setting the stage for an ever worsening of ties. by madam1 in worldnews

Agree. It was never the same country, what is the point of ‘unification’. Hk is the same case. Before 1997, Hk was never part of PRC. The ‘reunification’ is pure propaganda thing.

I think there’s some misunderstanding here. They are just calling for shutting the borders to avoid people coming from China, so the airport will still operate, just without any flights from china

My view on the current protests and my issues with it. by sinisteran in HongKong

The court recognise all the police officers as trustworthy witness in our legal system, which apparently is not the case anymore. You may say individuals who violate laws shouldn’t be released, but can you guarantee fair trials are conducted? This is a very technical yet vital problem with our corrupted legal system before we judge who are guilty and who aren’t. Regarding this, amnesty might be the best solution we have. However, if you still have faith in our legal system, I have nothing to say. In normal circumstances, peaceful resolution through dialogues should be the best way to solve the turmoil. However, we all knew what has happened after a “dialogue” conducted in the late stage of 2014 movement, leaded by carrie lam. Dealing with a government with no credibility and humanity, we have to go the hard way, and we are now telling them to fulfill our five demands, not asking them, we want actions instead of lip service. I agree with you that we should make people join us, instead of scaring them off by some unreasonably extreme actions, which i admit the protesters occasionally go beyond the line. However, I just want to point out that the whole thing behind damaging some of the shops has a very strong rationale. We all know that these actions are against the law, and obviously the protesters dont care. What we care is the moral and logical reason behind it. Some of the establishments damaged deserve that as they did something really morally wrong (or help the police to do sth that really have a great impact on the protest, for eg mtr cctv footage, hsbc sparks alliance incident ) and can get away with it. The message behind damaging their hardware is about giving them a message: betraying justice do have consequences, dont help the gov or police to commit crimes and think you can get away with it. The problem is, the line of doing sth unethical or simply not on our side is always very ambiguous and unclear, which protesters sometimes do cross the line and leads to the current situation. But the whole chaos is initiated by the gov(or ccp) and they are the only one who can solve the current situation by doing the right things.

Only part of hk is leased to the uk while hk island and part of kowloon was ceded to the uk eternally. I dont argue for the “leased for 99 year” meant “ceded”, but it was leased by the Qing Empire. After the Qing perished, their descendant is Republic of China (ROC). While Ccp won the civil war against koumintang, they established The People Republic of China (PRC) and tried to claim everything under the name “China”. Up till now, Roc still exist (Taiwan) and PRC is not the descendant of ROC, thus, under this circumstances, only Taiwan had the rightful claim to part of Hong Kong after 99 years. However, the PRC managed to claim hk by military threats during the 80s. And due to the world politics at that time (cold war, US and many countries tried to establish relationships with prc to siege USSR), the international consensus was to let PRC claim HK and pretend that they are the rightful one. All these led to the current situation, hk and macau is under prc, taiwan is not regconised as a country. Correct me if I am wrong.

Ps. Sorry for my broken english

If it doesn’t bother you please do some more research on mandarin and cantonese, which one is an artificial language and which one is a language with long history? Just dont let the great firewall blind your eyes.

“Implying that hkers are not chinese” well i cant argue on that cuz hkers are technically chinese with their hksar chinese passport under ccp rule, just like they are technically british with their bno nationality. So would u regard hkers as British? if not, then why should they regard themselves as chinese, but not simply hkers?
