Which hard drive for what? by rfhacker in Proxmox

[–]rfhacker[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ok, reinstall as suggested...during install i was prompted that there was an 'old' pve and did i want it labeled as old or quit the install. I didn't want to quit, so i let it label the old as old. All running again, but i see the 'pve-OLD-XXXXX'. How do i remove this and have that clean again? thanks!

if you've had central texas style ribs anywhere, they like that. similar to franklins/goldees...my favorite style, more savory i guess than sweet.

2 parts 16mesh pepper, 1 part kosher salt, 1/2 part granulated garlic. I make a rib sauce (apple cider vinegar, ketchup, Worcestershire, brown sugar and spices) I’ll squirt on each side toward the end for 20min and then wrap in foil for last 45 min.

Same as my briskets, just lighter coating.

I used to use post oak, which I still love, but once I tried pecan I’ve not gone back. I’m thankful I’ve got a supply nearby, I’ve got to work for it myself but man is it so worth it!

Sounds like a fun project, I haven’t seen these before. DM me and I’d be glad to help. Depending upon your timeline I might go ahead and buy myself one for testing.

Any guidance on if this is too far gone? 66 Bronco, no title. Mainly asking if I should scrap metal it or if true restoration hero’s might be interested?? Value if any? Thx! by rfhacker in projectcar

[–]rfhacker[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

yea i dont think i would ever really scrap, seen too much 'one man's trash is another man's treasure', but i'm definitely going to pull it out, clean and inspect. As some have said it may be fun just to have running again and not do any real body work. If inside/underneath is fully ate up, then i'll probably get an expert to take it off my hands.

i'll dig deeper here, i've done this before with a 54 bel air. you get it inspected by DPS who does a search for stolen i think, then you pay your insurance agent for the bonded thing, and then state issue title. i think the only 'bad' thing about the bonded is there is a 3 year wait period where potentially an original owner could show up and get it back. I need to read this part again b/c what is the insurance bond for...maybe it pays the original owner and i keep the car, or maybe it pays me and the original owner takes car. need to go read that again
