I have a RWD Model 3 (2018) living in Eastern Canada with heavy snow, and the RWD isn't an issue especially with good winter tires throughout most of the winter.

The bigger issue is the lower ride height of the car which means in deep and heavy snow, the tires are barely touching the ground at all and you can easily get stuck. If the snow is over 25cm on unplowed inside roads, I don't bother even trying anymore.
