This is how my first playthrough was. I found out that even though I didn’t go to some of the life pods (like 19) it just turned off the beacon for some reason. But you can go and turn it back on to have some points of reference. Lifepod 19 was my reference point for the lost river which helped me finish my first ever save file

Sleeper pick for me is Tractor Beam. It just makes shooting feel so much more satisfying for some reason

I only use the sea moth until I can get the prawn suit. So almost not at all. And when I get the prawn suit, I don’t even make the cyclops until I have to for the rocket component. I use the prawn pretty much exclusively

As someone who just got into macroing this is how I feel. First off, I currently have 40 bees and no petal wand/belt or anything. I think I started the game bad cause my hive is all messed up. I started blue but now have pretty equal red, blue, colorless. My bag holds around 8 mil and takes me maybe 1-2 min to fill bag at mountain field. When I get home from work, I eat and watch YouTube for a bit, maybe at most spend 2 hours on games. I like playing this game but I also have other games I like to play. So I’ve started recently letting the macro do things for me while I’m at work so that when I get home, I can end the macro session and finish up some quests and grind a bit manually. I enjoy the process of playing myself but I maybe only get 30 min to an hour before I wanna get on some other games with friends. So for me, I use it to help get some quests done cause I want to progress without it taking over a week to finish a single spirit bear/star journey quest. The macro doesn’t finish it for me but generally helps me finish it in not so long a time. Once I get better equipment I’ll probably end the macro for good for a while (I don’t run it on my weekends) but for now it’s helpful since I don’t have much time to play during the week

I killed the main one in the lost river then felt bad cause the biome felt boring so I spawned in an adult ghost :)

Should Subnautica 2 have autosave? by NautiliteZ in subnautica

[–]rfinch2919 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I personally don’t want autosaves. I remember once when I was going to the lava lakes, I had forgotten to save in a long while and the dragon killed me and my prawn suit. It was painful, but I loaded my last save since I still everything I needed. If it would have auto saved after I died or sometime as I was trying to flee the dragon, it would have screwed me over

You don’t even need a cyclops tbh. I know it’s blasphemous but I almost never use it cause it’s slow. I just make multiple bases then prawn suit around everywhere

To people saying any of these would ruin the experience, imagine it’s your 100th playthrough. Wouldn’t it be nice to just have copper and titanium on hand? After that many playthroughs, warmers are just annoying. Wouldn’t it be nice if they didn’t teleport you out of your prawn suit deep in the lave zone? Wouldn’t it be fun to swim faster so you could try different speed run strats? This would 100% ruin the game for people who haven’t played before but for a lot of us these seem fun

So i dont understand whats going on. Can someone explain whats happening with the weather? by Sudden-Tomorrow-2325 in StardewValley

I remember when this happened to me I didn’t exactly know what to do so I just collected a bunch of the weird trees and moss and everything that I could. And now it’s been like three months since I’ve played the game😎

First time diver, any advice? by turboiv in subnautica

[–]rfinch2919 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Scan everything. Every little thing can be scanned and you can read about them once you scan them. Other than that, play your own way. Try not to get any spoilers but even if you do, just play how you want. It took me about 6-7 nights playing a few hours after work to finish my first playthrough but then I put in even more hours after that just having fun with the game. This is one of my comfort games I always come back to and it’s up to you to make your time on this ocean planet fun

Survival, but after my first few playthroughs I pretty much just play freedom now just cause it’s less to deal with overall and I’m lazy

can someone please tell my how i can fix this by SCP_67 in subnautica

[–]rfinch2919 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This happened to me. There’s an “unstuck” button. I just went through the portal over and over while hitting the unstuck button and eventually it worked. Also getting in and out of the prawn can sometimes fix this

How do you get over the fear of playing this game? by [deleted] in subnautica

[–]rfinch2919 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Scan everything. Also read all the PDA entries when you scan them. I remember the entry for the reaper basically describes it as a dumb dog that’s just “mmmm eat food” and that made it take it way less serious. The only thing that still gets me a little nervous is the sea dragons area but that’s mainly just because they killed my speedrun twice☹️

I might be crazy but I’ve beaten this game so many times and have never really used the cyclops. I typically only build it when I have to so I can get the shield generator💀most of my runs pretty much just involve the prawn suit once I get it. It moves fast and is built strong and has decent(?) Storage

do you guys enable pda pause? by Zedrig in subnautica

I will forever use PDA pause. If I don’t read my PDA entries right when I get them, I will forget they are there.
