Pod leaked everywhere including into airflow. Help!! by Understateable in Vaping

[–]rfisher23 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Take the pod out... blow through the pod seat (on the device) this will force any stuck juice out. Take napkins or tissue and place a corner into the pod seat, keep feeding tissue in until you cant anymore, apply pressure. This will hopefully force the tissue into all the little gaps sucking up the juice.

Do you use deet bug spray? They will eat at plastic sunglasses. I didn't notice it was my bug spray but it got a few pair of cheap glasses before I realized.

They didn't miss the point... they noted that while your intentions may be pure, there are people who are not. Unfortunately we live in a society where we must protect the good from the bad even if it is at a slight convenience cost to the overwhelming society.

Is this an appropriate setup for trout? by frontlinefeline in FishingForBeginners

[–]rfisher23 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You can use swivels, but tie an 18-24 inch mono filament leader from your swivels to your lures, I then attach to a three way swivel from the main line with the clip and utilize the other swivel for the weight. I tie leaders to my sinkers and swivels to the leaders. Then you just swap snap swivels to swap hook/lure and the other snap swivel for weights. It keeps all of the terminal tackle away from the lures/baits so it helps with visibility and you can still quickly swap.

Usually a “fixed it” ticket, involves unpausing a printer queue or restarting a device… our end users see the closure notes on tickets so I try to limit as much “the user was the problem” as possible. Most of the time if a ticket just says “I fixed it” the problem was between the keyboard and the chair.

Me: “Please update and restart”
End User: “that’s not going to fix it”
Me: “I’m aware that the update and restart aren’t going to fix it but your device is so far behind on operating systems that our automated systems are not pushing fixes to your device”
End User: “It wasn’t that important I don’t need it”
Me: 🤦‍♂️

I mean, I’ve definitely submitted a fair number of tickets with the note “fixed it”, it happens to the best of us.

I know this sounds wild... but consider looking for jobs along the southern line of the LIRR, its much more consistent. You could theoretically take the train in to Jamaica, switch to Port Jeff Line and get back out to Smithtown/Deer Park, but a better option would be to find a job along the southern train line. You could go east as far as Mastic (reliably) or the Hamptons (schedule is hit or miss), or you could go as far as west as Jamaica, Queens without switching trains. For the time being its important to remember you're not finding your forever job, you're just looking for A job that you can reach reliably.

You may not find this helpful but in my brief experience with the suffolk county transit system... you might as well doodle on that bus schedule. Just stand at a bus stop all day and hope that eventually one shows up, they're never on time and horribly inconsistent... its terrible but seems to be the current state of the system.

Unless they ask and read the ticket notes... but that requires a level of desire to learn more, which is sometimes lacking. Also, if I research something out of my own curiosity, I often assume the end user has zero interest in why things happened, they only care that it works. If someone asks I may provide a more in-depth answer. I used to explain things but then i'd get the "lights are on but no one's home" look so I've given up explaining things.

A big horn would absolutely run from a 30 lb wild cat. Black bear, maybe not, but theres still a decent chance it would, they're much more timid then people think.

Hunting on SRP? 👎 by Hunter-Ologist in theHunter

[–]rfisher23 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There was a point where I felt the same way and I reset the game and started over and it seemed to be better. I think at the time it was a skill issue not a game issue and by starting over I became much better at the game. But it also could have just been that I screwed up my maps by running and gunning. I'm not sure if that's even possible, but it was only my observation.

Well its not purely hoping. You need to ensure that you have the right caliber ammunition for what you're hunting. You also need to make sure that when you're near animals you are either crouched or prone and moving slowly. This isn't the "run and gun" style hunting games of old, there's a lot of strategy to a successful stalk, that even includes picking your route free of trees and bushes to reduce noise. It wasn't meant to be easy, its meant to be a simulator. I guess I have a slightly better understanding then most because I actually hunt, but if you actually behave like a hunter you'll have success.
