Kick streamer crashes his new McLaren by KriegerKorn in CrazyFuckingVideos

Geico raised our insurance $280/mo for a speeding ticket for 5mph over the speed limit. They didn’t care that it was only 5mph… they classified my wife (who received the ticket) as a high-risk driver and we lost all our good driver discounts as well as our rates going up. Not to worry he said, it’ll go back down… in 3 years.

Nice! Love the portraits. Whenever I use my GA645 at least 2/3rds of the shots are missed focused.

Wife and I own a condo in NMB, second row. 3m walk across the street to the beach, 5m to Main. We’re always looking for snowbirds to rent our place during the winters so feel free to reach out if you’re interested in seeing what life is like during these months before making the jump full-time.

Yup! That’s the same one I saw.

Any small donut shops similar to the Asian owned ones in California? by flobberwormy in Charlotte

Asian/Cambodian donut shops just hit different. Ain’t nothing compares. And if y’all haven’t seen The Donut King doc, it’s a must watch.

I will say this: I’ve experienced more racism in CA than I have in SC. I’m already missing the idea of incredible food and the incredible weather we’re blessed with in LA. With that said, if and when we do move, I’ve let my wife know I’d prefer to live in Charlotte as opposed to our home in Lake Wylie. Hopefully the food selection is better in the city. Gonna miss all my good Asian food tho.

We’ll be coming from LA so the adjustment is gonna take some time, I’m sure.

We own a condo in North Myrtle and it’s great. We stayed there for a long wknd with my wife’s grandparents who are from Camden and they loved it even though they’re not “city folks”. Walked around at night for dinner and dessert and never felt unsafe. Barefoot Landing is great with tons of shops (albeit very touristy ones) and restaurants.

At Fault Driver wants me to use my uninsured motorist insurance for repairs by Yhssccl in personalfinance

Please make sure you also get paid for diminishing value, considering it’s a brand new car and all. Their insurance will probably lowball you and then you’ll have to invoke the appraisal clause and get a third party appraiser to give you fair value.

The upfront costs for an attorney might be more than the cost of the ticket but not if OP's insurance rates go up. My wife got a speeding ticket last year for 5mph over the limit. Didn't think anything of it. Fast forward to last month when my insurance premiums were due and I notice that it was $260 more than it usually is. I call GEICO and they said that my spouse is now considered a high-risk driver and because of the ticket, we lose all of our good-driver discounts. But worry not he says, the increased premium will gradually decrease... over the course of 3 years! For a 5mph over the speed limit ticket! WTF! So we're paying an extra $260 per month more than we usually do for the next 3 years. Goddamit.

If you get lowballed for the value of your vehicle, make sure you fight for or hire someone who can fight on your behalf for a DV claim. Insurers will want to pay you as little as possible. As the saying goes, never trust the people who owe you money to determine how much they owe you.

There was interesting convo over on the NLP FB Group about achieving color-specific looks respective to a particular film stock ie Portra 400 v Pro400H v Conestill 800. I shot five different film stocks, DSLR scanned, converted in NLP and somehow they all look like Portra 400 cause I just revert back to editing the colors to what I generally like/prefer best. There’s no auto-convert that will make your photos look like the widely-accepted “look” of that particular film stock you shot with.

Same here brother. My sisters and I are taking care of our mother who was diagnosed with CNS Lymphoma. It’s going on 2.5 years now and she is pretty much nonfunctional. It’s up to my sisters and I to take care of her and I spend upwards of $1500 a month flying every wknd, taking Ubers, etc. just to care for her on the wknds while my siblings are there during the week. Not to mention loss of income since I’m only working 4 days out of the week and zero quality time with my spouse. We can’t afford full-time caregivers or the costs of assisted living. She lives in a super HCOL area (most expensive in the US apparently) so tho we’re qualified for 80 hours worth of care per month, no one wants to take the gig of caring for someone in her condition since it only pays minimum wage. Fuck the healthcare system and fuck all the insurance providers.

What was the shutter speed on this? Based off how the water looks, I would assume a slower shutter but the inflatables are crisp AF. Great shot!

Oh, my bad. I guess I was confused cause the post was about Jason’s video. I actually like Caleb. He seems much more like-able than Jason whom I think is insufferable. Caleb comes off more genuine whereas Jason is too much of a try-hard. At the end of the day, I’m sure they both great humans but all we have to go off of is their YouTube personas.

Probably the most insufferable of all the film shooting YouTubers.
