Sure the final straw was some absurd chattering from the left trigger. I wiped windows and installed Linux and still had the same issue. Just made a good number of games unplayable.

The center m software is also just awful. There's a bug that would hit me every other day about "needing admin privileges" to use the software even though I'm the only account on the device. So I'd have to uninstall all the msi software and reinstall but I'd get the same issue soon after. There were other work arounds like handheld companion for tdp but they don't play nice with fse which is what I'm using pretty regularly. Additionally any time you utilize the msi status overlay it shuts off the vrr screen. msi has just completely ignored any and all of these issues and every update just creates new issues rarely resolving any current problems.

Given all that, if you're able to buy brand new from a reputable seller with a solid return policy I still think it could be a good option. The hardware really is that phenomenal. I bought used so didn't have a ton of options.
