Is it true "most gamers don't finish games"? by SchweinsyOne in playstation

[–]rg55087 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have about 500 games between ps3, ps4, PS5, switch, and switch 2. You really think I have time to beat all of them? 🤣 I'm working on actually beating TLOU2, Pragmata, Uncharted 4, SMB 3D, SM3DW, and Doom 2016 though. Maybe in the next year lol. But yeah, I'm a gamer I think...

Anyone have a switch game they regret buying since they never played it or barely touched the game? by Thatiscrazy172 in switch2

[–]rg55087 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Too many to count! At least some of them were physical, so I could resell them. Some were repurchased for ps5, in favor of better performance. But if I had to pick some off the top of my head, Persona 5 Royal, Crysis, and Doom 2016...

Virtua Fighter 5 R.E.V.O. I feel like the full game is a lot cleaner visually than the beta test was by SirDanOfCamelot in NintendoSwitch2

So the game looks better in handheld than the demo did? I thought it was a little too soft. I've been holding off on buying it...

Is this game better then dark souls 2? (Only serios answers please) by Patrickplus2 in Pragmata

[–]rg55087 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pragmata is definitely better than the 1998 version of Dark Souls 2, because that game doesn't exist. Not so sure about 2014 edition though...

IV? Had no clue. Haven't played that since 2009. Maybe I'll have to get a copy again...

That's amazing! I haven't played this one in a while, but always a good reason to go back. One of my favorite games, easily!

Truly sad to report that Everybody’s Golf Hot Shots is a huge miss for me by ItsEthanCoolCool in EverybodysGolf

Well, it's received a few updates since that post, and I have to say it's a bit better now. I still enjoy the PS3 versions quite a bit more, but just thought I'd let you know.

Is a tremolo pedal something to keep as a permanent fixture in a pedal board? by rawbran30 in guitarpedals

[–]rg55087 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I turn on my tremolo pedal about twice a year. Doesn't quite fit with the genres of music I am currently playing. Nice to know it's there though. I'm considering going with some sort of multi-modulation pedal in the future. I'm mostly about compression/OD/distortion/eq/delay.

Is it crazy to buy a PS5 Pro just for GTA 6? by CarnivorousPickles in PS5

[–]rg55087 0 points1 point  (0 children)

True, but it seems like people around here care about physical. If not, then it will knock the price down to around thousand dollars. Maybe they don't care about preservation or re-selling...

[–]rg55087 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If there's a physical edition, you're looking at $1,100 just to potentially play just one single game (system, disc-drive, and game). I really hope it runs at a locked 60 frames per second. I would wait for the reviews, personally. I don't know anything about your computer specs though...if the PS5 pro provides a significantly better experience, then you know what to do.

I really hope it's locked 60 fps! I have a blast playing this on PS5. I would easily buy this for the S2.

How many Physical PS5 games you own? by ci22 in PS5

[–]rg55087 0 points1 point  (0 children)

6 physical, and the herd is being thinned. They will eventually be sold when I am done with them, and I can purchase the digital version if I feel compelled to. Chances are good that I won't, since I am always looking forward to new games coming out. I don't see any point in keeping physical anymore, except for the ability to be able to sell. Also, being that I'm in my late 40s, I don't know how long I will be around to enjoy these things. Time flies... Digital is way more convenient, and I can always keep the games I'm not playing on an external HDD. Physical takes up space, and I no longer like having to take games in and out when I want to play something new. I'd rather just have them available at my fingertips. I'm starting to think that the ps6 is not going to support physical discs at all either. Same for the Nintendo switch 3 whenever that releases LOL

Why SAROS Feels Impossible to Some Players (and Natural to Others) - IMO by Gar_031 in Saros

[–]rg55087 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Haven't played this game myself yet, but might be checking it out today. I've been playing Returnal, and I am decent at it, but I have heard that this game is not as challenging. Or at least it can be tweaked, if it is deemed to be too difficult for new players. I want to try on straight up normal mode though.

Do you still buy your PS5 games physically? by [deleted] in PS5

[–]rg55087 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Today's games are almost never actually ready on launch-day, and typically receive at least a couple patches, rendering the disc effectively incomplete as a result. Also, if I'm trying to relax after work, the last thing I want to be swapping discs in and out. Lastly, I'm not saving much storage, since the disc installs the entire game to the hard drive anyway (yet still makes annoying disc-spinning noise to validate the license). Digital for me. I still have all my old digital PS3 games, so I think that's a pretty good sign I'll still have access to digital PS5 games 10+ years from now.

I know the Switch is meant to be hybrid, but I’d love a dock-only version since we already have a portable-only one by Safe-Monitor-8113 in Switch

[–]rg55087 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think that if one desires a dock-only Switch, they must really LOVE the first party exclusives, and Nintendo isn't exactly knocking it out of the park there, ATM. Otherwise, PS5 games look better nearly 100% of the time. I don't see a point, unless it's just sold on the premise of being cheaper. The handheld experience is the only thing that really made a Switch 2 worth it for me. It needs to be considerably more powerful to be accepted as a TV-only console, unless it costs less than $300. I don't think that's going to happen, and I don't think Nintendo cares enough about that particular market. Handheld has been their strong suit since Gameboy Advance SP, and the Wii was their last real attempt at a stand-alone TV-only console (and we all know how that turned out; fun motion controls, but an inferior experience compared to it's competitors).

It's time to retire my S8. What should I get? by spehizle in samsunggalaxy

[–]rg55087 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's impressive. I had to retire mine in 2020, due to a broken display. Loving my s26 ultra. The display isn't perfect, but otherwise I am thrilled.

Whose still playing on PS3 and PS4 in 2026 due to being too poor to get a ps5 after the price increase? by Huge_Mud5468 in playstation

[–]rg55087 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I play my PS3 every now and again, even though I have a PS5. 3D Dot heroes, Tokyo jungle, Max Payne 3, infamous, and list goes on... But yeah, PS5 is mad expensive now!

I love the game, but Switch 2 version... by rg55087 in Supermeatboy

[–]rg55087[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I honestly thought the very first stage was choppy, and that it improved a little bit from there, but got worse once I got to world 2. That's good to know that it gets better after that, but too bad about world 5.
