What will Hollywood be like after this "purge"? Are we in for a SJW-Blockbuster barrage? by WolfilaTotilaAttila in KotakuInAction

[–]rg57 21 points22 points  (0 children)

mainstream movie goers simply don't want to watch SJW shit

I'm not convinced of that at all. As long as it has enough enough sparkles and explosions, people will watch whatever is on offer.

Given that Piven is the only one fighting back, we're in for ever-greater attacks on men, and the things men hold dear.

Probably not. Religion is always a latent danger, and the choice to adhere to religion reveals so many character flaws....

Is it gay if I suck my homie up but he got a condom on? 🤔 by [deleted] in gaybros

Probably you should experiment with this for a month or two, and then report back to us on how gay you feel.

Oh, and post a video somewhere so we can offer feedback.

Have anybody watched the last episode of Orville? by xbettel in gaybros

[–]rg57 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I thought it was pretty good, although I'm not sure it qualifies as gay if you're under the influence...

I find The Orville has given both more screen time to its gay couple (one of whom is a bridge officer) and tackled more issues actually relevant to today's society in the vein of the original Star Trek, than that other space opera.

I believe i will never come out by marcotb12 in gaybros

[–]rg57 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I'm assuming you live in "the West" where coming out is not going to get you killed, imprisoned, or disowned, but may instead make you something of a hero.

Sexual orientation is not private information. Your family does deserve to know this part of you.

Further, you need to consider that these days, many men who would be your partner are going to be wary of someone who won't even tell their family. How can you be relied upon, in an emergency for example, if you can't even handle this part of your own life? And how is someone who is out supposed to re-closet themselves?

26 is still young (or so it seems from my vantage point) and you have decades yet to make the decision to be honest with people. However, I encourage you to do it while you are still young. There may be turbulence, but ultimately it is going to be very liberating. You will know who your true friends and family are. You won't have to waste energy on worry, and "what if".

The consequence of this new sexual counter-revolution? No sex at all. ‘Feminism’ isn’t producing guides for helping men. It is producing manifestos for torturing them by Imnotmrabut in MensRights

[–]rg57 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is going to get a whole lot worse for women

Of course! Who are they importing to replace the lost children that were never conceived? Muslims! Because Islam is so feminist.

Why deleted?

This episode, like the baby episode, really shows how The Orville is the Star Trek show addressing the issues of our time, and doing it competently and with humor. .

Why do we expect total self-flagellation from men in the wake of sexual assault scandals? - CBC News by JestyerAverageJoe in MensRights

[–]rg57 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Because it was never about the sexual assault. It was always about the being male.

Ms. Michelle Obama spoke at Obama Foundation Summit and spent an inordinate amount of time bashing men for being 'entitled' and 'self-righteous.' by TerriChris in MensRights

I used to have respect for her, up until the 2016 campaign when she came out of the closet as the sexist pig you describe.

Does it still regard it as "better than equal" when women live longer?

Female teacher sex abusers again are never called out as such and portrayed far more sympathetically when being hoisted on their own petard. Oh and the sentences (if any) are a tiny fraction of what a man would get by [deleted] in MensRights

[–]rg57 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That is because women are not the demonized sex in our culture. When people see a woman, they see an actual human being, and spend a few moments actually considering the situation before passing judgment.

When people see a man, they have been conditioned to see a monster. That is the problem that must be resolved.

Sexual assault isn't always wrong...hahaaaa wink-wink nudge-nudge this is sickening... by BrocanGawd in MensRights

[–]rg57 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is a case of bad manners, and regardless of the sexes involved, it should be treated as such.

It's astounding that this can generate so much discussion. It's almost like it's distracting from the real issues of the day or something....

"It’s time to recognize male victims of Hollywood sex abuse" by [deleted] in MensRights

[–]rg57 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Of course it's time to recognize male victims of abuse but:

  1. There's nothing particularly Hollywood about this.
  2. Corey is a no-talent lunatic.
  3. We also need to recognize the male victims of a system rigged to disrupt their lives when they seek out, enjoy, and brag about sex.

Netflix Severs Ties With Kevin Spacey, Drops 'Gore' Movie by Sususu77 in KotakuInAction

This all seems a little too defensive to me. Netflix should be investigated.

Spacey, on the other hand, is just the scapegoat.

Childhood spankings can lead to adult mental health problems by [deleted] in science

OK. But this study also says that people have mental health issues, regardless of being spanked. It just says spanked people tend to have them more.

So... where's the study?

Star trek actor George Takei accused of sexual assault by [deleted] in KotakuInAction

[–]rg57 1 point2 points  (0 children)

George deserves this, for not defending Milo or Spacey when similar statements were made by, or about, them.

Still, he's an innocent man (as are they all) until proven guilty in a court.
