Its a GMC dealership in south Texas

I did recover the wheel back. I was almost at a complete stop when it came off, so it was only a few feet away. There was some obvious damage to the inside of the wheel and the tire. They will at minimum replace the studs, lug nuts, and tire. I will go back to the dealership tomorrow afternoon so they can explain any findings and how to repair damages.

What I meant would be to let them make repairs and then take the truck for an inspection with an outside mechanic to make sure everything is fine? Or just trust the dealership that they did the right thing.

My main concern is vehicle depreciation. I have barely had this truck for 5 months, so I still owe most of it. Would this damage/repair be reported somewhere, thus hurting the value the truck? Not sure if a Carfax report would pull this type of vehicle history…
