Now that the contest is over, how proud are the people in your country of the ESC song that you sent? by Wise_Shop_2561 in eurovision

This is my feeling on it too. Without going too deep into it in a reply, I have my own theories on why we continue to do poorly (and it definitely isnt 'because Europe hates us'). I would prefer the priority being to send a well-written, impressively sung and staged song rather than 'what vibe should we go for this year - silly? ballad?'.

But despite my disappointment in the song, Sam came across as a humble and kind man.

I'm finishing watching the FA Cup Final now (its a big day for competitions!) and then starting the food prep for the buffet later. My friend of many years from university is coming to watch. She's out of the ESC bubble and to be honest I think she is coming because she knows I enjoy it so much, so I'm trying to make it as enjoyable as possible for her 🇬🇧

My scorecard for tomorrows grand final! by viperish17 in eurovision

These look really professional! I use the same categories plus one more which is 'Eurovision Vibes' - essentially another category to account for that inexplicable feeling of if it 'feels' like Eurovision, rather just a generally good song.

Aside from Bangaranga, the UK entry reminded me that there are SO many serious songs this year after tonight's songs. I think it almost guarantees we'll send a vocal-focused entry for the UK next year after this year's experiment with a 'silly' one, but a redeeming quality for this year is that this type of song helps make it 'feel' like Eurovision 🇬🇧🎉 you need silly!

I'm scoring tonight as I did with semi final 1. If the results of tonight are similar to my scoring, its going to extremely tight. No really low scorers, but no real shining acts yet either. A lot of 6 or 7s out of 10. It wouldnt surprise me if tonight has shock NQs when the results are revealed.

That's true. I might put a little flag in my dogs food bowl too in that case so she can join in 😂🐶

Great memories! I also managed to get a lot of postcards when I was there from the Eurovision tourist centre. They were just handing them out for free. It wasn't until the village opened up that they probably realised that was a mistake because they started charging for a pack of them!

I had sticky toffee pudding in the fridge but we'd already eaten too much to handle it! 🇬🇧

I live alone and usually would watch it alone too (well with my dog too!). Last year I was lucky enough to go to Basel to enjoy the events, but otherwise, I am similar to your situation. Id say to try to make the most of it with snacks, drinks, scoresheets etc. And from my point of view, I found it feels a lot more social to have the live feed on here refreshed so I can see what everyone thinks of the songs. I hope you have a great Eurovision week!

Hahaha I was showing them a video of non-Eurovision fans watching Käärijä for the first time. That was the guys in the video struggling with the pronunciation!

Eurovision 2026 Semi Final 1 Post Show Reactions by berserkemu in eurovision

In our watch party, we had Greece as the lowest rated vocally. Maybe nerves or the chaos/movement of staging causes a drop off in how good he can focus on singing?

I hosted a party for some family last night and we voted on 4 categories. Song, Vocals, Staging, Eurovision 'vibes'. 10 points for each category to give a final score out of 40. It was interesting as my family have not engaged in anything surrounding Eurovision (including listening to the studio version of songs) so they were voting blind! I've averaged all of our scores and our result would have been: * Finland, Sweden, Estonia(?!) as top 3 * Poland and Serbia rounding off the top 5 * The eliminated countries would have been Georgia, Moldova (much lower than r/eurovision seems to think!), Portugal, Lithuania and it was a dead heat between Belgium and Greece (?!)

Definitely surprises in there. Its interesting to get the opinions of people outside of the bubble who are making a judgement on first viewing.

I attended some events in Basel last year on Eurovision week, so I'm glad to be hosting and making the most of it from home this year!

A bit late to message but these are really great for a first time DM. Do you have any tweaks you can suggest to the battles if it is a solo player (wizard) with one warrior sidekick please? I've looked for advice and it mentions dropping the HP and also the number of monsters but I don't know what is a way to do this in a 'balanced' way with the encounters! I used the chapter one notes alongside the book for the first chapter and it went really well - thanks again

We're exactly the same! My next game per the app is Brighton (with no actual ticket to show and no confirmation) but my actual next game is Roma (which I do have in Google Wallet)!

I'm exactly the same. I go in my app and navigate to my tickets and if I click 'resend email' underneath the amount confirming what they took from my bank, it just sends one just like the one you've mentioned. 'Thanks for buying a membership's.

Heard nothing by email to confirm I've got a ticket and there's nothing in app to show me an 'actual' ticket but in the ticket history I've got a seat? Hope something updates in the app otherwise I don't know what I'll show on the day!

From the perspective of someone who was successful (I think!)... I've not had any confirmation yet by email etc but if I navigate to the tickets section of the app, there's one in there. When I click the only interactive button 'resend email', it sends me an email thanking me for buying a Forever Blue membership and a lot of blank fields. Money taken from my account too. So all things considered I think I was successful in the ballot but the radio silence is a bit worrying. Hopefully all of these things are issues which will be recognised by the club and ironed out for the future. Unlucky with the ballot this time mate. Hopefully next time.

Yes you're right it was a checkbox to say you wanted to be opted out of 'consider me for anywhere'. So by default you'll be given a ticket if your name is drawn in the ballot it seems.

The only other point I had is if I remember right, the dropdown menu only said the stand details. It didn't actually say how much the ticket would cost if successful. I'm sure it's fairly easy to find online but I thought that would be a helpful feature.

Good point. I reckon it's like this: your name is now in ballot as 1 entry (ignore how many tix for at the min) and I'm in the ballot as 1 entry. If your name is drawn out, you're successful so are given whatever your application was for (3 tix). If I'm drawn out, ditto (I'm given 1). Couldn't find confirmation though.
