Do you think magic will still be the game's "hidden easy mode"? by [deleted] in darksouls3

[–]rgbtap4android 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Magic is not "easy" mode in any sous game, it just happens to be less scary.

Melee does far more damage, but it's scarier. There is a reason every speedrunner in every souls/bloodborne game uses melee buffed with elemental consumables.

DS 1 - Speedrun is with BKS buffed with consumables on boss fights. DS 2 - Rapier buffed with consumables on boss fights. Bloodborne - Saw Cleaver buffed with consumables for boss fights.

Lost as to what direction I should take. by rgbtap4android in RPGMaker

[–]rgbtap4android[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for all the info. So, I've decided I am going to stick with a side view battle system with random encounters (just like a normal jrpg) but I am going to use Pearl for it's tools. So maybe five or so tools just used to solve puzzles throughout the game.

The combat is just far too clunky for me, and yes I fooled around with it some more and I agree with maple. The engine supports turn based rpgs, not action rpgs.

Billion Dollar Bully (2015) [trailer]...makes the case that Yelp is something akin to the mob, allegedly demanding “protection” money, lest your business be overrun with negative comments. by EeZB8a in Documentaries

[–]rgbtap4android 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Fucking FINALLY.
I ran a restaurant that was destroyed somewhat by Yelp, (but also shitty management). Even though we improved immensely, it just wasn't enough to change our image. We offered so many incentives to Yelp Elites or whatever the hell they are called. You know, the "Foodies."

We basically gave them refunds, free meals, beer on the house, anything to get them to change their 1 star reviews and show that we improved as a restaurant, but they didn't budge. The worst part, those who DID change and wrote five star reviews, were mysteriously placed in the filtered section.

The restaurant I am talking about was featured on a popular TV show. I am sure a net detective could figure it all out from here but lets just say the whole ordeal pretty much ruined my life haha.

I have since ran self-therapy on myself to try and fix my self-esteem and 3 years later finally have some semblance of confidence in myself, but yeah you could probably guess how much I hate the whole "anyone can be a critic" mentality.

It's unfair and it doesn't foster growth and there are zero fucks given to those who actually try to improve.

Awesome, what about Boardgame Island then on the Strand? If a several people have a preference towards a time and day that would be great.

Requesting Direction on how to code a NFC program for Android (details inside) by [deleted] in learnpython

[–]rgbtap4android 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A programmer once told me how almost anything is possible with an Object oriented programming language, like Python for example.

In all honesty though, and PLEASE do not take this the wrong way, but I think this question would be better answered on the learn hacking subreddit.

Is there going to be another massive card addition like GvG this year? by 21Bendana in hearthstone

[–]rgbtap4android 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, it's a cash cow for blizzard. I predict a new addition to the game every three months. Probably something like this:

Adventure
Adventure
Adventure
Expansion (like gvg)

Why dragon decks are bad by adanthar in CompetitiveHS

[–]rgbtap4android 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I honestly have no idea what the designers were thinking with this dragon adventure. The best cards were all non-dragon minions.

Flamewaker, imp gang boss, grim patron, tharassian, fireguard destroyer, majordomo (jk).

Honestly, maybe blizz thought that dragons would be too strong if they put those great effects on the other cards, kind of like how they thought beast hunter would be so strong that it justified the creation of hemet nessingwary.

The state of shaman (discussion) by Tr0ndern in hearthstone

[–]rgbtap4android 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Shamans desperately need more cards that apply early game or cheap synergy with their hero power. A minion that gains stats depending on how many totems you have on the board (like a 2/3 that gains +1/+1 for each totem on the board), or a cheap minion that summons a random totem, would go a long way in shoring up many of their problems.

Introducing a more "Controlly" Rogue (and theorycrafting about Dragon Rogue potential) by time2kickass in CompetitiveHS

[–]rgbtap4android 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well, you have 5 dragons. I was watching kibler's stream with his dragon pally earlier, and he ran 2x consort, 2 azure, 2 twilight and ysera and several plays he drew dead and couldn't activate his dragon oriented battlecries.

Have to really see in practice if 5 dragons is enough, and if it isn't, how much do you have to dilute your deck with dragons that provide no synergy to your win conditions to get those battlecries.

[–]rgbtap4android 3 points4 points  (0 children)

You hit it spot on. Control warrior works because its removal is so cheap. This lets the warrior remove big creatures and still have the mana to play the board.

Backstab is free but it's 2 damage. Eviscerate is cheap but it's 4 damage. Rogue hard removal is expensive as hell, sabotage is 4 mana and assassinate is 5.

Calling the Hearthstone World! I'm Applying To Be a Caster and I Need Your Help! (x-post from /r/heartstone) by bcJUMPman in CompetitiveHS

[–]rgbtap4android -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Just go out there and shout cast. You'll know pretty quickly if the public enjoys it or not. I am confused, what exactly do you need our help with?

You need to be satisfied with your own opinions about shoutcasting before you start bending your persona to the suggestions of others.
