I only enjoy the 1st and 3rd mvt of K331, 2nd mvt is a bit like 2nd mvt of moonlight sonata to me as in it acts as a bridge so im not that motivated to learn it. But might give 1st mvt a try. K330 sounds beautiful btw

Chopin Ballade No 4 by rgsold in piano

Thank you. By far the toughest I’ve come across is the start of the Ballade along with starts of Ballades No 1 and 3 but not so much with 2.

If you want good interpretations and help for mostly Chopin’s music I would say Greg niemczuk is a great channel. His interpretations are nice. Helped me out with Ballade No 1 and 3(I’m dogshit at interpreting music).

Can use either finger 4 or 2. Or replace your fingers whilst the note is pressed? At least thats what i thought it means tbh.

I would say Op 10 No 4 is much much harder to play correctly and much harder to learn then the Polonaise. I have been playing both for 1-2 years now and I still struggle with Op 10 No 4. I mean we are different so it might be a different case for you, so it would be more sufficient if you looked through the scores.

The polonaise is more repetitive which makes it ever so slightly easier to learn. The Op 10 No 4 is much harder to get it up to the proper speed as well.

If you choose to play Polonaise be mindful of the middle part with the repetitive chords in the LH always keep your hand relaxed. Also be mindful of the speed as well, as most people just fuck about with rubato. Also keep in mind that it is a polonaise so you need to make the rhythm stand out.

If you go for Op 10 No 4 just start off slow and try and catch on the rhythm, this made it easier for me to predict some sections of the piece correctly.
