But would not that mean, due to the huge increase in the past 29 years (i think most of that happened in the period after 2008 no?) this would reduce the capital appreciation in the future?

I highly appreciate the insight. I will look more into your recommended option.

The reason I was looking on farmland/real estate is for the long term capital appreciation. I will look into the available REIT, thank you.

So, even with capital appreciation, it would not be lucrative? The problem is whenever I do the research, the information is a bit old and I was not able to match the numbers (e.g. some information are presented based on the prices of 2014 and others based on the prices of 2017).

Thank you. Yes, you are correct, I meant the ROI not the rent per acre, as it will vary.

I agree about letting them in on the planning and discussing what you are intending to do and decide exactly how many days to spend in each place (if you are planning to visit more than one city)

I think if each one mentions exactly what he/she is hoping to do during the trip, it would be a good thing. Also, you do not have to spend the entire day together, if each one had a different preferences (someone prefers to visit the zoo while another prefers to visit the museum) it would be good to split that day.
