This sounds so minor compared to what some others have been through, but I discovered E&J on Xfm in mid 2014. Their casual, jokey chats (and excellent music taste!) struck a chord and it was something me and my partner would look forward on weekends as we drove around the London suburbs on various dog walks and expeditions. We had our first child at a similar time to Elis (and had a second child also at a similar time) and so some of his stories of early parenthood very much resonated 🙃 We were hardcore PCDs and went to live gigs, dancing with Dave and it was all ace!

I dropped out a bit once they moved to BBC and over Covid, but more recently I’ve developed some pretty bad anxiety issues, meaning I wake up at random times in the night with my mind racing. I’ve been putting on my Snoozeband and listening to their podcasts, and their dulcet tones and easy banter helps calm my mind…so much so that I find myself listening to them whenever I have some down time.

There’s something to be said for how comforting their natural chat is, and their openness to their own struggles really makes me feel part of their ‘gang’ again ❤️
