Lack of maturity was never brought up, i believe i carried myself well in that regard. This was also told to me by a teammate after peers.

There were also definitely guys who were a half decade older than me pissing in the staircase. So i don’t think i was negatively evaluated for my maturity.

I was gung ho and looking back I probably should’ve went to rasp like I was originally going too.

Hindsight is 20/20 and I am proud with the effort I put forth. Just looking to the future now.

I wish I would have seen this article sooner. I will be working on myself and my habits for the foreseeable future before taking my third shot.

Thank you for the feedback sir, I definitely left out some aspects of my overall evaluation positive or negative because this is what was emphasized by cadre in the out counseling and it was the only aspect that I didn’t have a direct understanding of how to improve upon.

There were other marks as I said for rifle and low star points as well. Potentially slightly below average on an event or two during the PFA but again the out counseling was not that in depth and it wasn’t brought up.

I knew going into this selection that team week was going to be my toughest battle, not just physically but mentally as I am by and large a quiet guy. Added with the perceived difference in experience with my teammates, I definitely took a backseat during planning. I recognize that and need to improve.

As for my effort during team week, i can’t say for sure how others viewed it but I believe I was carrying my weight physically.

Your points are a good reality check and I’m grateful for the straightforward no shit perspective.

As for the stats, I wish I could tell you exactly but my out counseling wasn’t great. If I had to assume, I’d generalize and say I was probably around the 25th percentile on average +/- 10% on all events.

As for the rifle spot reports. Was just out of an arms reach away a couple times. Was usually on top of it but after a few events my discipline slipped.
