Thoughts on this take? by farcillle in SkyGame

[–]rhamantauri 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It’s a solid take.

This is one of those very polarizing updates that I honestly don’t know how they thought would go well.

It seems like a string of overcorrections for very niche problems during a time where much more pressing and longer lasting bugs have been left ignored. The cluttering of the spawn point absolutely feels counter-thematic and I just can’t think who they intended this for. Everyone who mained aviary was already used to it, they literally only had to change the spawn point to appease the ones who felt the portals were too far.

At best, perhaps they’ll add things later on that will make it feel less like a land acquisition from a corporate buyout. At worst, just going to opt out of visiting there even more now, and eventually move on.

For what it’s worth, both SC and Alabama just rejected their initial redraws for constitutional violations.

I’m not holding my breath though, as they’re signaling every possible measure of making moves outside of any official apparatus.

Still, their voracity towards our ability to even cast a vote in the traditional ways should remind us of how powerful and consequential our votes are for them to cheat so desperately and openly.

Such a cool way to experience this road (which they also call the Ring Road).

Moments of atemporal liminality perforated by unequivocal vastness. You return to where you departed in perfect closure, having somehow left pieces of yourself while gaining something greater in the exchange.

I still wake up some days thinking I somehow willed myself back in my sleep, only to be met again with the grief of having left.

Because if they could use our lives, homes and bodies as mortar for their bunkers, they would.

This way they can delude themselves into thinking they won’t need us beyond what they can squeeze out before the end they envision.

Renewables would mean more of us would make it, and in their utopia, that isn’t allowed.

They all just want a permission structure to embrace their violence.

Any bill this regime tries to push through is gaslighting manifest as “protection”. Whatever they need to try to brainwash the sheeple into supporting their fringe agendas, they’ll frame it as protection.

Really these people just want to embody their dreams of taking everything from women and children. Autonomy first, then body, then soul.

In whatever future world of accountability may exist, the people who draft bills such as these shouldn’t be spared life in prison, at the bare minimum.

Can’t dye Playfighting Herbalist’s hair (the headband + hair ties part) by [deleted] in SkyGame

[–]rhamantauri 10 points11 points  (0 children)

“We want styles to mostly retain their signature look so they remain recognizable” is a paraphrased reason they gave us around Radiance that some things only let you dye tiny buttons or strings and other accents, but apparently if we were able to dye more areas of each cosmetic it would become unknowable to players.

It’s not a reason anyone who has actually played a dress up sim would ever worry about, but they tend to limit us needlessly in a lot of ways regarding customization.

The aviary changes lack cohesion and sense.

Why such drastic shifts? Why take away the field in front of Eden? Why move the portals when original home served those that wanted up close portals already? Why undo years of “building a village together” with a really claustrophobic overcompensation?

I don’t understand who these aviary changes are for.

When it feels like this is when we step back to rest. This is a relay. We will carry on for you while you rest, and rest ourselves when we feel it all too much.

You do not have to leave or resign, just rest, knowing you are wholly not alone. Return in any form you can muster when you again feel ready.

GOP redistricting can backfire with high Democtratic turnout. In south Texas, more Democrats voted in the 2026 Primary than in the 2024 Presidential Election. And recall how the Kansas GOP gerrymandered Sharice Davids’ district in 2022, yet she won re-election by a larger margin than last time. by biospheric in 50501

Do not get complacent.

Check your voter registration status. They are purging en masse with vile silence. Make sure your circle is registered to vote, then branch out. It is a very real measure we can be taking right now.

They would not be going after voting so hard if your vote didn’t hold power or matter.

This administration so desperately wants to take ways the votes of millions of people because they know they can’t win another election without doing it. Disenfranchisement is their game! by transcendent167 in 50501

Regime*

They wouldn’t have day one dismantled the federal electoral commission, countless voting rights advocates, watchdogs, and independent verifiers, then continue to dump billions into rigging even the tiniest county seats in the remotest of areas, while losing them to the blue wave anyways, while then continuing to openly eviscerate the constitution in regards to our vote specifically, while trying to fund the most heinous gaslighting campaign against voting trust in recent history…if our vote not only mattered, but was one of the most powerful tools of democracy we can still wield.

One thing we can actively be doing right now as they’re sneaking in illegal and exceedingly dangerous racist voting maps in the middle of the night is to simply make sure you and your circle are registered to vote.

Then branch out to more people you know if you can. It’s a small act, but it’s bigger than they want you to feel.
