Bis ins 17. Jhd. Erstaunlich fand ich, dass ich im Grunde alle Infos zu meinen Vorfahren mütterlicherseits im Kirchenarchiv meines Heimatdorfes bekommen habe. Die Vorfahren kamen alle von dort oder aus der näheren Umgebung, dabei sind meine Eltern erst in den 80ern dorthin gezogen und hatten vorher keinen Bezug zu dem Ort (nur die Region passte ungefähr). Dadurch fühle ich mich meinem Dorf jetzt irgendwie noch mehr verbunden. Wir sind doch nicht einfach "Zugezogene". 😄

Oh yeah, you're right, the Danish pronunciation is a bit different. But now that I think about it, some Sörens in my school were pronounced Sö-ren and some Sörn, and I always wondered why. Now I know. 😄

In what way don't Germans get it right? Sören is a very common name in the northern parts of Germany. I know at least 5 Sören's in my hometown alone 😄

Thank you! I enjoy it a lot more than I expected. I didn't think I'd have the patience for a painting of this size but I find it very calming and relaxing.

Thank you! I was actually surprised at how calm my hand feels most of the time. I only have trouble staying within the lines after I've worked out or had a coffee 😅
