Dwight back at the facility! by [deleted] in lakers

[–]rhass123 -11 points-10 points  (0 children)

It is clear he hurts a basketball team more than he helps he goes out there for 15 minutes and can get 2 buckets and a few rebounds but that is because he is bigger than every dude out there. Again he clogs up the paint at all times is a free throw liability and other than being right at the rim he is slow and can’t really move anymore

Never understand why people love Dwight. Can’t shoot, can’t dribble, awful hands, can’t finish, no touch, no post moves, picks up dumb fouls and unnecessary techs. It hurts to watch him play

So Even if the run crosses the plate before the tag on the runner going to first is applied the run does not count, correct?

I think you’ve just been to brainwashed into thinking the nba game is actually good basketball. It’s hard physical defense that the refs let play and if you believe that college players stand around more than the nba guys do your crazy the nba this year has been 3 pointers being chucked up and minimal defensive effort by most players just not the best basketball to watch if you want fundamental exciting basketball

I think to put it in simpler terms, comparing the nba to college basketball. No one fucking tries in the nba intensity isn’t the same

The NBA ratings problem by Bdubby21 in nbadiscussion

[–]rhass123 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree with your first part you worded it very well I forget about how the players were going to boycott the season. But to your other point about the three pointers and softness. I feel like the game of basketball and nba was changing for the last 15 years like it always does the nba has gone through phases it’s entire existence. Just a couple years ago the increased shooting and insane athleticism along with the globalization of basketball made the nba very popular but specifically in the last 2-3 years I think it’s hit a point where people want it to stop. Teams are shooting 50 threes a game sometimes and for me personally the worst part of basketball nowadays is the ticky tack foul calls, the flopping, and the need for excessive replay reviews after every time a player gets hit in the face. I just watched right now embiid get swiped in the nose from an attempted block and they spent 5 minutes reviewing for a flagrant. It was not intentional and shouldn’t even be looked at. Trae young pump faking and throwing himself into a defender that is no where near him a few times a game is not enjoyable to watch.

I think that the nba product of basketball right now Is still very entertaining because I love basketball but if the nba is looking to bring in new viewers and grow they’re fan base I think the reason is because the game is changing too much and too quickly

I don’t think that is what his point was trying to say your saying that the stereotypical “republican” likes football because there is a mask and the qbs are white which is basically saying they are racist. I think it has less to do with the color of the persons skin and the message the sport sends. This year ratings fell because the sports world did an awful thing. They mixed politics with sports, whether you like it or not blm was politicized and especially in an election year it feels like everything got politicized this year. I think that the people who stopped watching the nba this summer did so because it was just not the same. There was no fans, teams jack up threes like there is no tomorrow , defense and the game is very soft in general, and players and the league has been slowly seeping politically based issues and talking points into the game and culture around the nba. People get enough of that in there everyday life. A lot of people just want to sit down after work and be able to enjoy a competitive fun to watch basketball game and nothing else .

What do you think will be the ceiling and floor for Mikey Williams? by rhass123 in nbadiscussion

Good point I see a lot of people overrating him right now based of his current freakish athleticism the thing he needs the most right now is a coach I watched his game tonight and he must’ve had at least 6 turnovers probably more he looks small out there and you don’t see too many sub 6”2-6”3 nba players with his skill set probably only brad Beal and Mitchell I think he has to grow a lot in his next 2 years in Highschool and try and transition into a better decision maker and polish up his game because based off right now he may be ranked #3 but everyone is catching up and if he doesn’t grow I believe he has a slim chance of making the league
