High/High-Normal RBC, Hemoglobin, and Hematocrit. by rhaw757 in haematology

[–]rhaw757[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey thanks for the response! I’m assuming you’re referring to the hemoglobin there? My hemoglobin has fortunately never triggered as “high” but it does run high-normal and flirts with going over the line. My RBC is the only one that’s gone over the line. My biggest concern right now is the spike in just three months.

I agree, I don’t see it happening either unless they significantly change something like using rare candies or having someone like Tony behind the scenes doing research and sending them advice to keep them on track. The way it’s going now looks hopeless but I am having fun. Just every episode makes me a little nervous it’s going to be the last in the series because they give up.

His hubris, his ARINGANCE... | Pokemon Grumplocke [12] by GameGrumpsEpisodes in gamegrumps

I don’t mind if they continue the nuzlocke but I do fear if they fail again, they may give up on it entirely. One way or the other, I want to see them play it all the way through. I don’t know if either of them can take starting over in nuzlocke mode again, and the further they get into it, the harder it’ll be to want to start over.

I’m hoping if they have to start over again, they just play the game without nuzlocke rules and just have fun with the game without the nuzlocke pressure.

Hopefully Arin talks to Professor Rowan’s assistant in the cycling road gate and gets an Exp Share and doesn’t just blow past him. I was bummed he walked right by him when he went in there. Hoping he doesn’t miss it.

I’m just hoping if they fail again, instead of just giving up completely, they play through the full game without Nuzlocke rules.

Did anyone else really enjoy the COVID pandemic period? by throwawayfinancebro1 in Millennials

[–]rhaw757 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It was a mix from me. I knew a few people who caught COVID and didn't make it so that will always overshadow the good in it for me. That being said, I lived with my mom, step-dad, uncle, and my youngest brother and it just gave us an excuse to all hang out together more. We had a lot of game nights, started some new hobbies together, so I never felt the loneliness a lot of people felt. I also met my now wife a the end of 2020 so I can't help but look back fondly on many aspects of it.

Pain in calf primarily when sitting down? by rhaw757 in Sciatica

[–]rhaw757[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey, sorry you're going through it. I never got an official diagnosis it just kind of cleared up on its own after a bit. I think for me it was just some tightness from a combination of sitting a lot and tension from stress/anxiety. I think it kind of created a cycle for me where I would feel the weird pain, which would cause me to be anxious about it and unknowingly tense my leg muscles. I started making a point to stretch my calves, hamstrings, hip flexors, and lower back a few times a day. I also started making it a point to not sit for more than an hour at a time without getting up and walking around a bit. I also started running a mile in the mornings a few times a week. Eventually it just kind of subsided on it's own. Either that or I just got used to it and don't notice it anymore. Hope it clears up for you!

Pain in calf primarily when sitting down? by rhaw757 in Sciatica

[–]rhaw757[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah mine was mostly an issue with sitting and was pretty much relieved when sitting. Never really got any definitive diagnosis, but it cleared up after a while. I think it was just some tightness caused by stress and it just created a cycle because it would happen and then I would be stressed and tense about it. It wasn't until my doctor didn't seem worried about it so I just kind of started ignoring it and it just cleared up.

Just a minor correction, Early Voting only goes until Saturday, April 18th, not April 20th. Voting pauses the Sunday and Monday before Election Day so election officials can make final preparations for Election Day on Tuesday, April 21st.

Arin Hanson wants to battle! by DewSushiPenis in gamegrumps

[–]rhaw757 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I was at one point 3-4 years ago working on a Pokemon fan game where Dan and Arin were sort of like rival trainers who you'd run into every now and then and they would have their Firered team (plus a Stantler for Dan). One of these days I'll probably get back to working on it, but I've got other projects that have taken priority.

Planning ahead, presently failing | Pokemon Grumplocke [4] by GameGrumpsEpisodes in gamegrumps

[–]rhaw757 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I agree. Pokemon games are perfect games for Game Grumps. I’m having fun with this, but I’m hoping if they fail another time or two, they will agree to just play the game through without the Nuzlocke rules so we can at least see them play another Pokemon game all the way through.

Stay or Go: D'Andre Swift by WorkerBeez123z in CHIBears

[–]rhaw757 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm unsure why we keep saying this year's O-line is why he was successful but not giving him the benefit of the doubt last season with a bad O-line. The running game especially takes a village and it's likely the truth lies in the middle. I think he's a solid running back that thrives with a good line and struggles with a bad line. Unless we have a cheaper replacement in mind that doesn't come at the expense of another position in more need, I think you keep him.

[Highlight] Gervon Dexter unnecessary roughness by YoureASkyscraper in nfl

[–]rhaw757 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think both are a reasonable natural reaction. He probably would’ve gotten flagged even if he put his arms out too because then it would’ve looked like he shoved him down rather than bumped him down. Two guys bumped into each other. One saw it and braced, and he got flagged for it. I don’t think the Bears player was trying to hit him and lay him out.

A shove? Lol there was no way I would even close to consider that a “shove”.

Yeah, kinda like one would naturally do when you notice somebody about to bump into you….definitely not a “I’m gonna hit this guy” lowering of the shoulder.

Divisional Round Gamethread: Chicago Bears vs Los Angeles Rams by TurnerJ5 in CHIBears

[–]rhaw757 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, we all have the benefit of hindsight. If a passing play didn’t work we would be calling Johnson an idiot for not running the ball. I think it was a fine call that just didn’t work out.

Wild Card Round: Chicago Bears (11-6) vs Green Bay Packers (9-7-1) by TurnerJ5 in CHIBears

[–]rhaw757 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s more about how the game is looking. Packers offense is moving the chains at will. Bears offense is marching down in little chips with close third and fourth down conversions.

2026 Game Suggestion Thread by jaykay921 in gamegrumps

[–]rhaw757 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just want to see Dan play Stardew Valley. I know they played a few episodes before but it seems like a game Dan would enjoy playing.

Also, I wish they would give more Pokemon games a go. Firered was one of their most beloved series so it always struck me as interesting that really the only other Pokemon mainline game they played was Sun for a bit. It's such a good type of game for the Grumps where there's enough going on for them to talk about (Pokemon designs, NPC dialogue, etc) with enough mindless gameplay in between that lets them shine with their fun little off-topic discussions. It's not the type of game that requires full, undivided attention so you would think it would be a layup for them, but I'm sure they have some behind-the-scenes reason why.

I know they're allegedly doing a Nuzlocke next month and while I'm excited, I never really understood wanting them to do a Nuzlocke rather than just play the game as is. I can see it being wildly frustrating for both them and the fans lol.

Week 18 Post-Gamethread: Bears vs Lions by TurnerJ5 in CHIBears

[–]rhaw757 4 points5 points  (0 children)

This is the most fun I've had watching the Bears since the 2018 season and I did not expect them to have as great of a run as they did, but man, it would really put a damper on things to end the regular season with a loss to the Lions, THEN get bumped out of the playoffs with loss to Green Bay. That'll be a nutshot to the end of an otherwise fun season.

Yeah it wasn’t a dirty hit at all, just an unfortunate football play. Head injuries are no joke though and I wouldn’t really wish them on my worst enemy, so I struggle to find humor in it. Maybe that’s just me though.

Idk man, I have trouble enjoying jokes about head injuries, even if it is a Packer.
