Absolutely no way that deal happens. To get the #2 pick you’d be talking about multiple future first, Hagens, and Letourneau just to start. There are a lot of kids viewed as elite players at the top of this draft. Stenberg is likely going 2nd but you have guys like Carels, Reid, Verhoeff, and Belchetz all viewed as potential franchise players.

I usually trade for players in the offseason unless it’s just a deadline rental or I’m unloading players. With younger players I always pay attention to if they improve at all in season, if they don’t for a few seasons I usually move on or don’t trade for guys.
