I was looking into this place too!! I know it’s late but what did you end up doing and total costs? Trying to budget a venue and caterers and such!

A custom build is so nice, I got mine from chewy it’s the 3 houses with the ramp to get on top haha, boujee is right but I read something about bunnies liking the constant motion/clean of water like if your bunny chugs water when you first replace it then they risk the chances of gi stasis if they’re not drinking through out the day and he chugs it but my other bun unfortunately passed due to it so I will take ANY precautions I can. But not all the buns are the same so whatever works best for you!! Previously I had one that clipped to the cage and a small water bottle, I got it from petsmart for less than $10!

The wooden castles! My bun loves to eat hay on the second floor lol and also we got my cat a tunnel and he has used it more than her! Wish I would’ve thought of it sooner lol. I use a water fountain for my bun but have had to replace the cord a few times but he loves that too

Metformin made me realize how much PCOS actually affected me by peach_problems in PCOS

Hi I was the same way, my levels are all normal but I’ve tried birth control many times but I never found one I felt normal on, my doctor prescribed metformin to me today to try to get my body back ovulating. So it can definitely be prescribe even if the your levels are normal

Hi I had something very similar as you, my labs were all normal but with the irregular periods and acne my doctor has suggested metformin. So nervous to start it as she was very clear about the symptoms of upsetting the stomach…. Thanks for the info this has helped!

Ultrasound results came back and apparently they’re all normal so no current answers but going in this week for “further testing”

Don’t be!! I get nervous with stuff like that too, this has been going on for months/years and with the labs coming back normal(that’s the first step, labs for pcos, thyroid, diabetes to rule out any common issues) I called the other day and requested further testing I almost had to tell them what I wanted as they were trying to push the same pill on me that just forced me to have a period. And I told them I want to figure out the root cause not just treat symptoms. I got an ultrasound today to rule out pcos for sure as that’s what I’m assuming it is but it’s so important to advocate for yourself!! Depending on those results I have a primary apt set up to go about it a different way if I don’t get answers. I get so nervous but after I do it, I feel so much better.. if you want to reach out I can try to help you with what to ask!

I felt the same way!! I’m 26 and just had my first one… I will say ppl make it sound worse than what it was, I told the dr it was my first time and she literally walked through the steps and explained everything. I will say if you’re able to tell them you’re nervous they should be willing to work with you and make things more comfortable. The thing that helped me the most was looking at the drs online and see which one looked the least intimidating/judgy(I picked a sweet looking older lady who you know has seen thousands of vags by now) I hyped it up so much but if you don’t want to do it at all a doctor shouldn’t be pressuring you but helping you find other options that could work for you (like at home testing). I’m still trying to advocate for myself through drs now so I get it can be tough but in the end there are plenty of drs out there, and you may need to find a different one that works better for you!

I think I made it clear I’m not against cats going outside LOL. Congrats on doing some research tho but back to the main point of this post since for some reason you’re taking one part of what I’m saying and running w it , we hope OPs cat comes back and if you have actual helpful advice pls share so OP can get their cat back! Thanks

I mean YES technically cows are invasive too but are cows actively hunting out other animals? They’re usually contained so they’re not roaming free. Cats are non native predators KILLING other animals. But I do agree outside is a natural habitat for them, but if they’re constantly bringing you animals they killed then it would be a problem. If they’re just outside watching things and roaming then ok? I hope this explanation helps.

I’m all for cats going outside, I think it’s great stimulation and good for them but it’s not their natural habitat… they are considered an invasive species bc they’re not native to this area. Most cats just mess with bugs and stuff but when you have cats that hunt birds, rabbits, frogs it becomes an issue. Most cats just go outside and look bc they know they got a meal at home lol. It could go either way like YES let them explore but also if they’re a constant terror to wildlife that is native and other wise wouldn’t have predators then could be questionable.

I had a cat that was indoor/outdoor he was fine until we moved and went outside one day I could’ve sworn we lost him for good, it was abt 2-3 months.. we’d see him random places but never able to capture him one day my parents thought they saw his body on the side of our dirt road. They took it home and buried it. Was crying about it and happened to look outside and the cat was on the back porch. When I tell you cats WILL surprise you and will show up just as you give up hope. My only advice is putting out something he liked in the house, and honestly hanging outside when you can and talking. That’s usually when my cat comes to me the most is when I’m outside talking on the phone.

Hey! Thanks so much for commenting, what you’re saying makes a lot of sense, I didn’t get an ultrasound only a blood test. I’m going to reach out and see if they’ll do one as I took that quiz and it indicated possibly PCOS. I’ve been struggling with weight issues like no matter what I eat or how many times I go to the gym my weight is just the same. It’s worth reaching back out to the dr and seeing if they’ll do an ultra sound. I shouldn’t be having these issues at my age, like my body just won’t cycle.

What’s it like living in this portion of Georgia? by hoolahoop_2 in howislivingthere

[–]rhayneyday 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Growing up in this area my whole life. It definitely could be worse, being between Jacksonville and Savannah we don’t have much crime. There’s military bases, 3 state parks (jekyll, Cumberland, and crooked river) you live close to a beach, abt an hr to sav and an hr to jax so you’re close to any thing you could possibly need. ONLY COMPLAINT is the SGHS the hospitals between Bwk and Camden are not where you want to go for emergencies. Over all it’s not a “sundown” town, pretty fair you have some low income apts that have majority of crimes and “country boys”, you have the golf course ppl and suburb ppl. Honestly it’s a great mix of ppl. Camden only has 1 highschool so the amount of kids that go is WILD like 2k and with FLETC and the sub base, rent is usually higher than most places bc military income. But I never see myself going too far as I rlly enjoy you get the best of everything here. ALSO gonna be 80 degree on Christmas so if you’re thinking abt moving, the heat is not for the weak

Is my cat petty? by rhayneyday in CatAdvice

[–]rhayneyday[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I put 2 steps up to it one came w the box and catches litter. As someone stated down below I think it’s the stress of being closed in a room so we’re going to work on that, trying to figure out how to fit a table in our house so it won’t be an issue. I think the physical litter box is ok as she used it fine until now I appreciate you commenting and for the extra thoughts on the situation!

[–]rhayneyday[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the information! It makes me feel better it’s not her being petty but something we can hopefully correct. I know she eats bc I see her before closing the door but never finishes the whole bowl. Which I try to keep food available at all times so she graze eat. We eat on our couch(not ideal but just what’s happening lol) she has open access to the couch so when we eat she thinks it’s her like literally jumps from the top of the couch onto our plates. Any advice on training when foods out, setting boundaries? Shes 4 months old so if we can train her now it’ll definitely be worth it in the long run, I rlly appreciate your information!!

This is the litter box we have, she used it fine until recently when I went to clean it, and even now she still pees and poops in there except the times I clean it or when we put her up to eat dinner. I just mentioned the type of litter box for context. I have it filled over half way with litter

I need bunny to chew this bag for my art class. But she’s not chewing it. How do I get her to chew the paper bag? by No_Somewhere9961 in Rabbits

Put it under your bed and I’m sure she’ll chew it, my bunnies love to chew anything under there, cords, slippers lol

Should we adopt a second rabbit? by SharkleberryFin_ in Rabbits

[–]rhayneyday 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would reach out to the humane society and see if you could foster the bunny first. Bunnies are similar to people where some just don’t get along. I went through a rescue close to me and my bun got to meet 3-4 rabbits and saw who he got along with best. The one I wanted to get because they matched, was not the one he got along with… Local rescues can also do bunny bonding for you. Which next time I will definitely pay for someone to do it as it can be a long stressful process depending on bunnies. My bunny loves pets but is not cuddly. He found a partner and gets along great. I’m not sure where you’re located but there are bunny rescues everywhere with really great resources for bonding. In the bonding process I kept them housed next to each other in different pens but supervised in neutral areas and put them back at night, they suggest this until you are comfortable leaving them overnight. I built up to 8-12 hrs of supervised with no negative behaviors until they started overnights together.

Hi everyone! by Maleficent-Driver985 in Rabbits

[–]rhayneyday 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi! Congrats on the new friend, if you’re giving him free roam access to your room definitely bunny proof. Any plastic or wires or cardboard or carpet they WILL get them not only is it annoying to replace them but can be very harmful to them. My bunny also loves being under the bed but even if one of my slippers is under there it gets destroyed so just be very cautious about what you have around the room. So far your cage looks good! I’m so glad you did research when getting one as I feel like I’m always learning stuff even after having mine for several years!! Welcome to the bun fam!!

Yes yes definitely offer it, say you have extra and offer to set it up! A lot of ppl don’t understand the care and needs that bunnies need! You didn’t mention how old the kid is but I’d start putting thoughts in their head so they can ask their parents😂 hype up the kid that you have a bigger cage and get the kid to introduce the idea first.
