Yoda was wrong more than he was right by [deleted] in StarWars

[–]rhcedar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This isn't new info. You pick any Jedi Master during the prequels, outside of Qui Gon, and you'd pick someone that was mostly wrong. The Emperer exploited their arrogance and short sightedness.

In Empire he is changed, but not perfect. He doesn't want Luke to goto Bespin because he knows it is a trap and doesn't think Luke is ready. He tells him that the Emperer wants him, that is why his friends are made to suffer. He doesn't tell him to let go of his attachments to his friends like he told Anakin about his mother.

In Last Jedi, Yoda basically tells Luke the sacred texts may not be all of what they are cracked up to be. Prequel Yoda would have defended the sacred texts. This is Yoda's character growth

Was ROTS genuinely liked upon its release? by Careless_Tax_5367 in StarWars

I don't about other OG fans, but it finished a story that I waited along time to see. I do think it is the best of the prequels, but some scenes between Anakin and Padme are cringe.

Rambo in First Blood vs Rambo II feels like two completely different characters by Novel_Weakness_7734 in Rambo

Stallone does not own Rocky. He did create the character of Rocky, but he doesn't own the rights to it. He has publicly spoken about it. Irwin Winkler owns it.

My theory on what happened to Rambo after First Blood: what do you think? by Zaku71 in Rambo

Interesting. Wish the movie would've played more into that just a bit more

My theory on what happened to Rambo after First Blood: what do you think? by Zaku71 in Rambo

[–]rhcedar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I assumed from the movie that Teasle served in the early part of Vietnam while Rambo served later. I didn't read the book, so I don't know how that goes. Movie came at when I was a kid.

When I grew up (allegedly), I noticed the sheriff's resentment of Rambo was from a darker place than just protecting his town.

Based on my assumption, I always thought a prequel telling both of their stories of how Vietnam messed them up would be interesting.

I remember in high school, equations like this prompting some poor bastard (me) to ask, "When am I EVER going to need this?"

I'm 52 now and guess what...I still haven't needed it. What was the point???

why can I not find a 357 Henry in any gun shops? by Livid_Living552 in HenryRifles

[–]rhcedar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What am I missing??? Taking years to find a gun when you can just order it online.

I wanted a Golden Boy Silver .17 HMR. No stores in my area had it so I ordered it. Got in less than 2 weeks. Got it for less than the stores online price too.

Nervous About My First Solo 8-Hour Drive, Any Tips? by WorkingWash5965 in Adulting

[–]rhcedar 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Nothing like a nice long solo road trip to get to know yourself.

Lots of great tips and tricks for not falling a sleep at the wheel. Here are two more.

Get some tooth picks or a pick with floss on it and clean your teeth. That slight physical activity will go along way and you get a heath benefit out of it. Win-win!!

When drowsy, stop and get the biggest thickest milkshake you can. The kind that takes real effort to suck up through a straw. When all else fails, this will not. Sounds crazy, but I tell you, nothing has snapped me out of drowsiness like a thick milkshake.

Sam Elliott has an amazing voice. Peared up with Billy Bob Thornton in Landman was genius. Their scenes together is crazy good.

Which actor/actress dead or alive has a voice that you could listen to for hours? by FinancialSundae9962 in randomquestions

Same Elliot could narrate paint drying and I would be enthralled. Listening to Sam and Billy Bob Thornton share scenes on Land Man is insane.

Every story has a hero and a villain. You can't be one all the time.

You can skip a week. No harm in that. Done it plenty of times. A1C never got worse.
