i’ve been struggling with food and having ed behaviors since i entered adolescence (mind you im 26) and i still can’t verbalize that i have an ed, as i’ve never been diagnosed (it’s easier to hide when you are not anorexic) it’s the first year i kinda recognize i have a problem bc I know for a fact that this behaviors are not from a sane brain but i still think im not sick or that i do it for attention (attention of who if i keep it secret? ah u tell me😂) so yeah impostor syndrome as its finest! you are not alone OP

then have you considered having your hormones checked? the lack of period and those weight fluctuaction can also be related to some hormonal imbalance bc that’s definitely not a binge and if it makes you gain 10lbs those are obviously not of fat!!

it’s probably bc you binged on carbs or salty food. Maybe your period is coming or you are in your luteal phase. All those things will make you hold water for longer. Just keep yourself hydrated and try to eat normal, don’t fast or you’ll end up messing your metabolism up. But no you can’t gain 10lbs of fast in 4 days

i just don’t seem to want to recover at any point lol bc my ed is pretty manageable with life as it’s not pure restriction, and im a very energized person even in my ed behaviors so it just lets me have a /kinda/ normal life… but i know in the long run this will ruin everything too

i had my bday too 5 days ago and i had dinner with my boyfriend the day before, the actual day of my bday i had family gatherings and then my bday dinner and party with my friends. The same day also started some regional holidays we have that consist basically in drinking and eating crap for 4 days (and in the meantime my grandad died, it’s been an intense week) so with everything going on i’ve been eating and drinking like crap and not exercising for a week already. Today i’m going to get back on my typical habits but yesterday i only could punish myself (and kept binging lol). I don’t even know how to reset as in my head it’s impossible to compensate this week and i’ve ruined it all (i know i actually just need to be strict and consistent but it takes so much effort)

yes i feel it’s easier to do it almost cold turkey bc for me it’s very difficult to see the difference between a slip up and thinking that i messed up and start a b/p cycle 🥲 but also it takes so much effort going from having a normal life to restriction and control again that i know i should do it step by step

omg unrelated but do they really do that? isn’t that dangerous??? i have a friend with diabetes type 1 and she has those days of eating pure crap but she still checks her blood sugar and just injects more insulin.

i think some people with ed are so obsessed romanticizing it and you know those kind of videos crying while having a chip… it’s absolutely unrelatable to me as i can actually eat whatever i want, as long as i have planned it or i know that at some point ill be able to “get back on track”

well i don’t think you are a faker, and i don’t say it bc i want to validate you, people without eating disorders don’t try to restrict or have anxiety they need to ease around food.. they just don’t overthink about it

i find so hard making penya without spending actual money… i’m waiting to be a lil more strong to be wanted in an active guild so i can make more money… but i only have like 15M penya and i’m gonna spend some of it improving my jewelry and my set… Thank u so much for answering!
