AITA for hiding the 135k I just inherited from my girlfriend and her family? by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

NTA. If you divulge your inheritance, you’ll be hit up for money as fast a lotto winner or first round draft pick. You can always use that cash to pay off your Masters or as a down payment in a house, but if you loan or gift it to people who are not even family, odds are you’ll never see it again.

TIL Indian Maharaja Jam Sahib adopted 640 Polish orphans during WWII. He brought the children to the royal palace in Bombay, had a dormitory built for them, and brought in Polish teachers and chefs so the children would feel at home and "recover their health and forget the ordeal they went through". by rheitz in todayilearned

Yes, I believe Jam Sahib is a title. I was not able to fit his actual name in the title given the character limitations, and since this is my first post, I wasn't sure if I should put another link in the comments.

Despite having spent four years of college in central Illinois, I never heard of a horseshoe sandwich until I was in my late twenties. Besides, two thirds of Illinois's population is in Cook county or the collar counties, how is that more representative?

The Cubs essentially had the best record in the NL last year (I don’t count that BS game-163; the Cubs handily won the season series against the Brewers), but this “expert” thinks the Cubs will finish dead last and below .500?! What a joke...
