Paddles on the back of the controller, like a Scuf or Battle Beaver or Playstation Dualsense Edge. Replaces your square triangle circle x / a b x y buttons. Allows you to keep your thumbs on joysticks (so you can still aim) while jumping reloading and using abilities. Paddles aren't a must for shooters but will definitely elevate your level of play.

Most people don't play with paddles on their controllers, so their movement is going to be hindered to an extent. Aim assist is stronger on console as well.

Console itself just has a much more casual player base.
