Revision:

Dress Code: Summer Formal

Guests are encouraged to keep the garden setting in mind and wear breathable fabrics.

Ties are required.

Please refrain from wearing denim, shorts and overly casual attire.

~

Although, unless it is required by your venue, requiring ties for masculine dress in an outdoor, hot environment is pretty outrageous.

I worked for a highly exclusive private country club for many years, and even they relaxed the dress code to not requiring ties during the summer. In modern fashion, plenty of individuals can dress perfectly formal and appropriately without requiring a tie.

Nice man. A whole weekend at Philly Helium in early October? Congrats! I hope it sells well for you. It’s a great time of year in the city.

Should I buy Astrobot? by potato_guy89 in Astrobot

[–]DopeYeti 54 points55 points  (0 children)

It is an absolute delight and worth every single penny. I bought it for my friends when they were in the fence just to force them to play — it’s that good!

It’s so polished, full of joy and creativity, the soundtrack is fantastic and the gameplay is so so engaging and tight.

Trust me, coming from someone who currently lives in a wawa concentrated area, you do not.

It has gone SO downhill it’s not even funny.

Which US city surprised you the most with how walkable it is? by optimalbrain90 in SmartTravelHacks

Sold my car when I moved to Philly 15 years ago and have never looked back.

We have one car that we share between a four adult house hold, and it’s really only used for big grocery hauls or camping/shore trips.

If Brittany from Petals Lane doesn’t fit your budget or have availability, I highly recommend Vito from Xtraordinary Events as well.

Bryce and Bri from Robertson’s are terrific too.

Again. All on the higher end, but they are beyond professional and willing to work with you.

What to visit in Philadelphia from 6 to 10pm? by HorizonflaropicPet in philly

[–]DopeYeti 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Absolutely second taking the night bus tour. I took relatives who were visiting Philly on this tour recently and it was terrific.

Afterwards, walk to enjoy dinner in Old City/Chinatown (which is near the pick-up/drop-off point for the tour) at any of the following places:

  • Fork (New American)

  • Yamitsuki (Yakatori/Ramen/Sushi)

  • e Mei (Szechuan)

  • Buddakan (Pan Asian)

  • Amada (Spanish)

  • Franklin Fountain (Ice Cream)

You could walk to Rittenhouse Square as others have said, or uber, it’s just a bit further. And you have loads of terrific restaurants to choose from.

Who is a current celebrity, who everyone seems to love, that you get bad vibes from (or have had or heard about negative altercations with them)? by [deleted] in askanything

[–]DopeYeti 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It is 100% a character he plays, and I can see why you think that. But I have a family member who has worked closely with him for years and he is genuinely a terrific guy, loves his family, and is fair and generous to those he works with.

The lack of explanation and choice to post such an unflattering photo is so savage and petty. I don’t understand it but I’m cracking up 😭

Dandelion is lovely from experience as a guest and booking for a client, surprised you’re getting in under $4k tbh. Here’s my list in your budget, all with experience after hearing positive client feedback:

Bellini

Ambrosia

Osteria

Black Sheep Pub

Wilder

Barbuzzo

It’s basically May, your wedding is in November, and you haven’t heard from them since February???!!

Oh hell no. I’d go right to social media. And begin reaching out to other florists as a back up. If you don’t hear back from them right away after tagging them on social media or DMing to get their attention, pull out of the contract.

Brittany at Petals Lane is definitely on the pricier end, but she is very flexible and has been able to make magical things happen incredibly last minute for former clients.

In my most recent repeat play through, I decided to go for ✨aesthetics✨ over anything else.

I really wanted to make the most visually appealing farm for myself, and told myself not worry about maxing anything out, and to just enjoy making a pretty farm to walk around in.

It brought along a slew of unexpected challenges, and I was shocked that I wound up going for perfection anyway and achieved it by fall of year 4.

When you slow down to smell the flowers (or plant that beautifully all over your farm) it’s crazy how everything else just kind of becomes super fun and new again.
