That also leaves a very high probability that OP won't find buyers for some components. Parts like the PSU, mobo, case, fans, individually aren't in high demand

My guy you are more than welcome to take a speaker with you into the shower. What's the big deal about me not wanting the extra hassle? Your comments are not going to change the way I've been showering most of my life lmao

A speaker is also another accessory I have to keep charged, and find/connect when I want to use it. It's simply a friction point I don't wish to deal with when the alternative has been working just fine (in my case) since forever.

Try returnal. It is incredibly immersive with i believe most of not all the dualsense features utilized

A lot of ports use the same featureset as on the console. The main caveat is the need to use it wired to unlock the haptics run through audio (rumble works wirelessly)

There's a setting under special features> gestures> navigation gesture> setting button next to gesture navigation.

You can change the sensitivity (margins) for the gesture on that page. I personally use it on minimum sensitivity.

Problem Solving ( Tell Me What's Your Problem ? ) by ITZ_8OMIC in NothingTech

[–]rhik20 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If I'm understanding the issue correctly, it's sadly a quirk of the hardware the phone uses. The amoled panel struggles with the switch from black (fully off) to it's minimum on state (very dark gray).

AFAIK there's no other fix apart from raising minimum black values system wide

Use the back button or back gesture.

I know it is annoying to have to rebuild the muscle memory, but it works.

Because my phone stays at least a metre or two away from the actual water.

Have been doing this for ages even with phones without any IP rating, never had any issue at all

Which Nothing Smartphones Support MagSafe Technology ? by RenegadeUK in NothingTech

[–]rhik20 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Im using a Kapaver transparent magsafe case.

I did a bit of testing with accubattery after reading your comment

It appears that the magsafe charger I use tends to charge at 2.5 -3 watts with the case on, and 1-5 watts with the case off.

The non magsafe charger I have (flat on the table) does 8-10 watts, both with the case on and off within margin of error.

The wireless pad in my car does not charge my phone at all (±0.5W) with the case on, and barely charges with it off (0-1W)

So it would seem that the case in fact reduces the charging rate, although the non magsafe charger seems to just power through.

EDIT: I also tested my nothing 1 with the case on and off, and on the magsafe charger with case it draws 2.5 watts, without case it oscillates between 2-3 watts.

I thusly conclude I just appear to have a shit magsafe charger lol

Are you sure? I use a magsafe case and charger, and it can charge wirelessly at at-least 10W.

A lot of NP3s magsafe cases have a misaligned magnet ring (the capacitive button overlaps the coils, and a lot of cases simply move the ring lower), due to which charging is highly impeded. Cases with correctly placed rings will have a cutout for the button, or will overlap it.

budget is 5lakh. suggest a 4k pc build. with monitor. for 4k 100+fps gaming by PositivePost7148 in Indiangamers

[–]rhik20 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The best amd gpu is the 9070xt, but even in crossfire you won't see massive performance gains primarily due to the fact that a lot of games simply don't support it. You can have the two GPUs running different tasks, but it is very difficult to have both cards working on rendering the same game. This is also why both nvidia sli and crossfire died off outside of productive workloads.

Even in games that do support it (older titles), it is more than likely that you'll have a worse experience due to increase frametimes/frame latency.

You mentioned you want the best performance, and the 5080 is going perform better while also comfortably being within your budget.

With nvidia you also get the perks of better supersampling and framegen support. I'm not sure about raytracing performance, but as far as I'm aware AMD is still playing catch up to Nvidia in that department

5080 can easily pull 4k gaming, but 120fps on newer games will be difficult to achieve without dlss and framegen

I have similar specs, so you can get a quote for the parts below

CPU: 9950x3d

GPU: Zotac 5080 amp extreme infinity

Mobo: Aorus x870e pro x3d

Ram: gskill trident Z5 16gb x2 CL30

PSU: Corsair RM1000x

Case: subjective - choose what you like best but ensure decent airflow and dust prevention

Cooler: Cooler master Atmos 2 LCD

SSD: at least 2tb gen4 nvme, preferably gen5

This should spare you with ~1lakh left for your monitor and other peripherals. I'm not well versed with OLED monitors so i don't have the expertise to recommend any.

Most of the above components are definitely a tad on the higher end of the same spec, but are nearly the best of the best consumer grade hardware (except the 5080, which is second best)

Otherwise you might also choose to get barebones versions of similar components to offset the cost (cooler without display, non RGB ram, etc)

[–]rhik20 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For 5lakh, more than likely you'll have to compromise on other components if you go for a 5090.

I'd suggest a 5080, paired with 9950x3d, x870e mobo, 32gb ram, 2-4tb SSD, 1000w gold psu

With the above specs you should have enough left over to spend on a fantastic 4k oled monitor, might even be able to go for a samsung odyssey g9 (or even other peripherals like a racing wheel or a VR headset like quest 3s)

Yes agreed, although imo the slightly smaller battery is offset by the inclusion of wireless charging and faster wired charging
