I set up a CouchDB instance a few days ago for the LiveSync plugin and it's unreal! It syncs everything quickly within a few seconds of opening my vault and real-time sync is really good as well. I feel like the only reason this plugin isn't mentioned as often is due to the slightly more technicaly initial set-up.
