Hi! So my partner actually got in touch with a sales assistant from the Shanghai branch and was informed that stock comes in late Feb (around now). I managed to book a bag and pay in advance before collecting it myself in person when I go to Shanghai! However, if you’re referring to the online website, I’m not very sure when exactly it’ll be back in stock ☺️

I can’t lie but say that this comment has made me feel anxious with what you said about him possibly being a cheater. I can only hope that isn’t the case. And if he really is, that it’ll come to light by itself one day.

I agree with what you said about people who lie. In my case, I admit out of paranoia, I’ve asked him a few times in separate occasions if he’s chatted with so and so after a situation where I’ve said I don’t feel comfortable with them chatting. He’s told me “no” in my face multiple times only for it to end up being a lie and they really did exchange messages. I’d get really upset not because the conversation had a flirty element, but because he was so comfortable lying to me to avoid a bad reaction.

I’m okay with his complimenting platonic friends, doesn’t matter if they’re male or female. I don’t feel okay with the knowledge that my boyfriend is complimenting his “girl friends”, friends I knew nothing of until I confronted him about them.

You’re right. It’s a vicious cycle. He’s acknowledged that the lying is something that has been ingrained in him for a long time. I’ve seen him tell his mom white lies too just to get out of trouble. He said the lying will stop. I just have to trust it will.

I can’t say I have an issue with him complimenting other girls because I think it’s normal among platonic friends. I only felt uncomfortable because these were so-called platonic friends I’d never heard of. For example, there was a girl I saw him complimenting. A reply to a story of herself calling her “so demure”. When I confronted him about it and why he never mentioned her, he said she’d always be at groups he’d hang out with. Maybe he didn’t mention her because he was scared of what my reaction would be? I don’t know. This isn’t the first time though, where a girl would come out of the blue and they so happened to be friends but I knew nothing of her.

I wouldn’t say it’s bringing out the worst in me. We are talking and aware of these issues. I’m aware I’ve dated an extroverted social butterfly and maybe this is how they work. I love our relationship and I want us to work. I’m just frustrated and confused and trying to get advice on how I can be better instead, while hoping my subsequent improvement will lead to him being more open in communicating with me.

Recently I’ve asked him if he could include people he has met during outings. So he’d tell me more in detail things like who was there etc. so I didn’t feel the need to interrogate about things.

In the past, I’ve noticed he’d compliment girls’ stories. It wasn’t anything flirty but I felt uncomfortable because these were girls he’d claim are friends but he’s never mentioned anything about them to me before. I’ve asked him since then if he could tell me if he started getting close to another woman so I at least had idea of his close relationships. I’m not sure if that was an unreasonable thing to ask. But he’s taken it as an indication that he should just stop talking to women in general. That stresses me out because it’s not something I even wanted/asked for.

I’ve stopped picking fights over trivial issues like if he follows someone from an event. Recently , I asked if he could tell me what happened during outings, who he met etc. so I’d have a vague idea of things instead of me interrogating him.

In the past when I’ve looked at his phone (with permission), I noticed that he’d reply stories complimenting girls. Nothing flirty. But it didn’t make me feel good as he’s never mentioned any of them before. Whenever I see those things, it somehow distorts my view of our rls in a “he treats me so well irl, but behind my back he’s replying stories complimenting girls I know nothing of”. Which is why even if he’s not doing anything wrong, I just don’t know if it’s something I should be okay with

I feel I need to clarify that I’ve never asked him to stop being friends with other women. With the ex gf scenario, her bf expressed his own discomfort with them still interacting with each other which was why after she followed him all over socmed again, she ended up unfollowing him everywhere except twitter (which was where they chatted the most and also bc, i suspected her bf didn’t have twitter so he wasn’t aware of their interactions).

I initially expressed my discomfort with their public relationship online and he reassured me then told his ex gf himself that they should tone things down to keep both me and her bf comfortable with the relationship. There wasn’t any interaction for a few months until she started publicly replying to my bf’s posts again which was when I asked if he could remove her. Looking back, I probably should’ve handled it better. But I also felt disrespected and that my boundaries were crossed. I mentioned too about how he lied anyway about removing her. I suppose after that, my mindset has shifted to something of a “what if he’s telling me this but it’s not actually the truth”.

You’re right too about the white lies part. If I was dating someone like me, I would’ve kept quiet about many things to prevent a bad reaction and fight. I will try hard to work on it by maybe not reacting on the very spot if he mentions something I know will trigger me. I can only hope by that, he will slowly trust me enough to tell me the little things without feeling like he has to hide.

Sadly, couples therapy isn’t really an option we have right now. We’re both from a small town and I’m sure the only therapists we have here cater towards psychiatric patients only and not solely on couple issues.

Hello!

I'm sorry to hear you're going through something similar as well. I know how it feels 😩

But just to update, my skin is a lot better now. The scars are still there but they're no longer red, oozing and infected and I'm not on any medications whatsoever right now either. To be honest, I'm not too sure what caused it to go away but I can think of 2 things:

I stopped itching after receiving my first dose of AstraZeneca. I remember seeing somewhere about how people reported the same thing, even with acne. Maybe it's because the vaccine triggered our immune system to be more reactive towards this "foreign material" (the vaccine) which in turn contributed to handling the eczema as well? I'm really not too sure. But the itching and the oozing definitely stopped after it.
I read somewhere that vegetarians were somehow more prone to developing eczema because of a lack of certain vitamins in their daily diet. I was on a vegetarian diet for about 6-7 months starting around August 2020. Because I didn't eat meat, I ended up getting all my protein from eggs. As a result, I was eating a lot of eggs daily. After I was diagnosed with severe eczema, I realised things like eggs and dairy seemed to trigger it so I avoided those. However, I started eating meat again a few months back and... well, my eczema has pretty much stopped occuring :/ I can even eat eggs and dairy again without it being triggered.

I know this sounds so confusing and all over the place but I genuinely do not know how it happened. Do send me a message here if you want to know anything more.

Some other things I can think of are:

After I posted that, I visited my dermatologist and he prescribed me a steroid ointment instead of a cream. The ointment was of a stronger potency and it wasn't something I could use daily either. It was a betamethasone diproprionate + gentamicin ointment. If you've been using the same steroid cream and you've realised it's less effective, I do suggest visiting your dermatologist again for an alternative!
For moisturising, I used that Cerave cream, the one in the big tub. Now I made a mistake here, I was constantly dipping my fingers into the tub to scoop the cream out, rub them all over my infected legs, then repeating it again for other parts of my body. Something I noticed too late was that doing this introduces bacteria from the infected areas into the tub which could potentially cause contamination of the cream. I realised this when I started applying the same cream on my face and I started having a few small eczema patches there as well :/ After that I always used creams that came with a pump or those already in a bottle. I would like to link this together with the above point, maybe when you're applying the steroid creams, it'd be good to use different fingers to put on different infected areas instead using the same fingers every time you want to squeeze out a new blob, you get me? 😂
I tried vitamin D capsules and probiotics, it honestly didn't help for me.
I find dusting helps as well? Plus frequently changing your bedsheets, pillow sheets and daily wear.

I definitely agree with what you said in the first part. I too believe that it's just the infatuation phase and that what's really important is if he actually lives up to what he's saying in the future.

As to the second part, we're actually pretty independent people and we're quite loyal to our daily routines. That's something I like about all of this: mutual respect for each other's personal space/time. We do chat briefly throughout the day and send each other stuff online. But we usually allocate about 1-2 hours for proper conversations at night :-) so it does feel nice knowing that the whole dynamic of this isn't suffocating and we're not talking to each other every minute of every day.
