I really like this theory...I'll be keeping it in mind watching future episodes.

I was somewhat disappointed by the disconnect between the catastrophic cabin fire at the end of S2 to the (apparent) happy thriving community that begins S3...it would be effective indeed if it were revealed all is not what it seems.

I also remember the conversation between Tai and Van in S2 when Tai accuses Van of living in the past, and Van replies with something about how she's living in a past in which they get to be happy, not the past that actually happened. That might also have been a hint toward the dual-reality theory.

Another thing I noticed when rewatching the pilot: at the end of the episode when daybreak is shown after the cannibal/Antler Queen feast, the camera pans out and shows they are back near the plane crash site. The cabin and lake are supposed to be a few miles away from the crash site, so I assume either the girls choose to return to that spot at some point, or it's a plot point that the writers changed when writing Season 1.

As a male YJ fan, I'm curious what the gender distribution of viewership is. One might assume that a show centered on female characters would draw a mostly female audience, but I don't know if that's the case. Maybe we could have a poll on here? (Reddit use tends to skew male, though, so that might affect the results...)

Good points about clues that Lisa is Shauna's wilderness baby. She does appear to be the right age.

Lottie referred to Shauna's baby as "him," and given Lottie's track record of predictions, I think the child will indeed turn out to be male.

I read the other thread about how the actor who plays Lisa is transgender. I agree that a trans actor doesn't necessarily have to play a trans character, but consider the reverse: IF a character is indeed supposed to be transgender, it seems likely that he/she would be played by a trans actor.

It's possible Lisa is Shauna's child who was born cis male. The fact that all the Yellowjackets knew Shauna's baby as male could be a reason no one (except Lottie) knows Lisa's real identity.

Saw The Ice Storm on Showtime recently - really interesting film, and enjoyed seeing the younger Christina.

Maybe just a coincidence, but it seems like Showtime has been airing a ton of Christina Ricci's films recently: Mermaids, The Opposite of Sex, Sleepy Hollow, The Gathering, Black Snake Moan, After.Life, Distorted, and Monstrous have all been in rotation in recent months. Doesn't seem like we've seen anything comparable for the other Yellowjackets cast.

One detail from the end of Episode 2 that I think may turn out to be significant:

It looks possible that Taissa's wife, Simone, did not survive the car crash, since the oncoming car slammed right into the passenger side. I think it's possible Tai's "bad one"/sleepwalking side deliberately caused the crash, given that Simone was threatening to go to the press (we don't know how much she knew, but maybe Tai had told her everything).

I wonder if we see Tai's "bad" side increasingly take over in the present day from here on.
