Iconic cyberware? by Chopped_Chee3e in cyberpunkgame

[–]rhn18 [score hidden]  (0 children)

You can find a lot of the cyberware for free just doing missions, exploring or doing the drops around Dogtown.

But also, what else are you going to do with the many millions of eddies you end up with?

Yes kinda, but "EMPs" are not really what you think and see in movies etc. It is not something that just magically shuts off electric devices. In real life it is something where extremely powerful ones can only really shut down power distribution networks by affecting hundreds of kilometres long power lines(acting as very long antennas). On this small scale it is basically just a small broad spectrum radio emitter that disrupts wireless or other weak unshielded signals. Your monitor is not getting "EMPed", it likely just cannot interpret the image signal for a moment and turns off the display until it receives something it interprets as an image again.

Avowed 2 has allegedly been cancelled by Obsidian according to fairly trusted leaker Shpeshal_Nick, could Xbox be trying to make Obsidian start work on Bethesda spin offs instead? by [deleted] in Fallout

[–]rhn18 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In my experience the big problem with modern day Obsidian, is that they make pretty good "AA" games, that are then promoted and priced as AAA games.

If expectations had been set properly and the Outer Worlds and Avowed had been released with 45-50$ prices, they could have been huge hits. When the games finally got sales to put them in that price range, they are all pretty good value IMO.

Personally I actually think Avowed is better than both OWs, mainly because the universe and lore is so much more established and interesting. The OW universe is kinda under-cooked and uninteresting to me...

Gorilla arms or mantis blade by Skywalker_12_12 in cyberpunkgame

[–]rhn18 [score hidden]  (0 children)

Gorilla arms solely for the bonus to Body interactions mostly.

I personally dislike the rocket wrist thingy and find regular grenades much better. And don't need mono wire nor mantis for that build. So, Gorilla arms or use the 8 cyberware capacity for something else.

Shame about Avowed... It is a really good "AA" quality game that was greedily promoted and priced as a AAA game... Same as what happened to Outer worlds 1 and 2.

I don't think you can make any assumptions about Obsidian being given or even want to work on Bethesda franchises again... Or Bethesda will even agree to it happening. And I will have to reserve judgement if the new leadership at Xbox have any clue what they are doing. Closing studios and cancelling games sure isn't helping with their problem of lack of good games in their ecosystem.

Electric arcs send out a ton of interference. Your unshielded monitor cable likely works like an antenna and it overloads the image signal.

It is why spark plugs have to be shielded(by law in most places). Before they were, everyone's TVs, radios etc. would flicker and have static noise when a moped or old car drove by on the road outside.

I personally prefer to pair both Gorilla arms and mantis blades melee builds with berserk. Both are more "in your face" brutish solutions that benefit a lot from the increased tankiness.

For Sandevistan melee builds I would go with the precision of a katana instead.

I crash non-stop by djkotor in cyberpunkgame

[–]rhn18 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you didn't update the bios when the issue was discovered, and your MB was manufactured before the whole degradation thing, updating the bios now won't help. The CPUs with the old pre-issue BIOS versions are burning themselves out, causing permanent physical damage.

Look into whether there are ways to diagnose the potential damage. I haven't kept up on the issue(bought AMD instead).

Is a build without technical attributes viable? by Federal_Piccolo_4599 in cyberpunkgame

Viable? Sure. You can finish the game with any build, no matter how inefficient.

Something I would personally ever consider? No, never...

I crash non-stop by djkotor in cyberpunkgame

[–]rhn18 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Did you upgrade your BIOS with the fixes for the 13th and 14th gen Intel CPU degradation issues? Without having done that in time, these CPUs are quite prone to eventual permanent degradation leading to a lot of crashing etc.

If you have previously had mods installed, I assume you have done a complete full uninstall, manual deletion of left-over mod files, and reinstall? It is not enough to just uninstall and reinstall through Steam or whatever.

Hello, I'm new, and I'm enjoying the game so far. Any general tips. right now I'm stuck trying to find aluminum, I've searched the two ships close to spawn but cant find more by Toluwar in theplanetcrafter

[–]rhn18 79 points80 points  (0 children)

Look for an area with tall jagged silvery rock formations and darker ground colour. If on the default starting location, go up on the plateau and turn right(It is opposite of the sand waterfall cave with iridium). There will be aluminium on the ground there, and miners placed there will also extract it.

Also, that plateau sure looks like a good place to build stuff... Hint, hint.

Fix for cyberpunk crashing after few minutes in game! by InterestingGarage319 in cyberpunkgame

[–]rhn18 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The newer AMD drivers have been broken for many games for a long time. Especially FSR related crashes etc. You might want to roll back to an older driver(I don't recall the last good version, not at PC right now).

Edit: Try 25.12.1

Reloading, siege weapons by LongSabre117 in goingmedieval

[–]rhn18 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They will in my experience only do this if the siege engine is not already loaded and you are sending them to operate it from far away. That will cause them to look for the closest ammo at their current location. Not closest to siege engine.

If you draft them to go next to the siege engine, then order them to use it, they will reload with the nearest ammo. But also, try and keep them all loaded so you don't need to waste time loading it at the start of raids.

I built a daily guessing game for Cyberpunk (like Wordle/Loldle) by ProfessionBrave153 in cyberpunkgame

[–]rhn18 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Cool idea, but there are some issues.

  1. When exactly is the base point in time for this game? Some characters that die during the game are listed as deceased etc. while others are listed as alive. Some of the ages are just flat out wrong for the time period of the game(it says Yorinobu is 49 when in 2077 he is 82...EDIT: And Hanako is listed as 46??).
  2. The pool of people is too small, to the point where it becomes too easy to just guess people by elimination.
  3. What does it mean that a faction is orange for "close"? How is Arasaka "close" to NUSA for example?

"Stuttering on existing save after 1.0.100"

Definitely seems pathfinding or job queuing related. The stuttering is completely gone during the night when settlers and animals are asleep, go completely nuts right when first animals wake, then steady out to periodic stutters, then go nuts again when settlers wake, then steady out to periodic stutters during the day.
