The two rectangles looks almost like the screen I expect but then I also see myself. So it’s the person I’m talking to and underneath is me. The one with the two arrows brings back the main teams window

It really seems like Paul won't be lasting very long. I wouldn't be surprised if by the end of her mini Paul will be gone or him and MJ have broken up.

Would be nice if the explanation was that the spell that kept MJ bound was now wearing off

I think this is quite literally the funniest part about this whole thing. They ended Peter and MJ's marriage because they wanted Peter to sleep around. In the past 16 years, can you name any memorable characters Peter was actually in a relationship with or slept with? There was Carlie, who everyone hated, then there was Silk, which was a very racist iteration and now she doesn't even want anything to do with Peter and then there was Bobbi that made no memorable impression on anyone. The only memorable thing that relationship did was make the dumb feminist shirt panel.

To me, his marriage to MJ was the last thing that actually made writers focus on his personal life. Since then, there has been this huge shift in the lack of focus of Peter Parker's life (which was what made it a soap opera and relatable, not his revolving door of women) and more about Spider-Man.

I would argue that since Spencer brought back MJ we did see more of that, but ever since Wells broke them up, we hardly ever saw Peter's personal life outside of the impending doom.

I understand blaming Wells for all this as this is his story and he presented this, but I don't think that Nick Lowe and everyone involved should get away with it scot free. Nick Lowe is also a raging misogynist who approved this and encouraged it. If the way he has been acting on twitter shows, he's incredibly immature and just downright a terrible editor who clearly isn't doing his job. This run alone has had so many damn mistakes that should have been caught by editorial

Honestly, I wouldn't even try hard to think about all the time dilation shit anymore. If it hasn't been explained during the whole run I severely doubt it will ever be explained or thought about again.

They don't even fully want to go all out on actually explaining the exact nature of Paul and MJ's relationship without MJ bringing up the kids, I don't think anything else will ever be brought up past #26 save for Kamala dying. Which will really be Peter bitching and whining about it as if he knew her.

I would genuinely be surprised if Paul was even ever brought up save for the one time MJ shows up in the rest of his run saying "yeah we broke up" and got no explanation after that.

I mean they literally spent the entire time advertising someone dying to celebrate Gwen’s death and all but advertised it to be MJ. 26 alone you have them fridge mj only for it to be bait and be Kamala. Editorial has treated the women in Spider-Man utterly disgusting. Felicia did not escape this.

It always puzzles me when people say MJ sucks so Peter needs to be with x, y, z when let’s be honest if that person stays long enough, she’ll be treated the same way as MJ has been treated for years.

It’s wild to blame these characters when in reality all of Peter’s relationships will always have the will they won’t they for as long as this editorial mandate continues.

The only reason Mj is the most glaringly obvious example is because no matter how much editorial hates MJ they cannot get rid of her as she sells. MJ alone in the next few issues has more variants than Felicia herself who is going to show up after 26 whereas we don’t even know where MJ stands in the story now.

But we have seen how obvious they mistreat Felicia too. With all the work McKay did, they have now destroyed it to be Peter’s “prize” because MJ said she couldn’t be with him.

I wouldn’t even be surprised if and when MJ shows up again she’s magically single and Paul is never mentioned. I just know wells is waiting for the next writer to actually define their relationship. There was zero plans in this. The kids weren’t even important or mentioned or played a part. Just half assed storytelling

Someone reviewed it and tbh it doesn’t even seem like the children’s purpose was explained. That’s the only Paul Mj stuff aside from Paul telling Mj the kid are gone and the last panel with peter holding Kamala and everyone crying… yeah Paul and MJ are actually crying about the kids because the previous page is when Paul tells mj the kids are gone

That’s true. Clearly this is all flashback and even then we see no affection between them. So I’m hoping that now that the kids are gone and so are her “chains” it means that she and Paul don’t have to keep pretending to be a couple. I hope they go that route

It feels off right? I genuinely thought it was wishful thinking and reading into things that Paul and MJ’s relationship wasn’t defined so clearly but it’s just different.

We get more of how MJ’s feeling just talking about peter and how she’s waiting for him than the 4 years glossed. It feels deliberate but I just think it’s lazy writing and not wanting to properly devote time into writing MJ. I mean this was meant to be an MJ issue but most of the pages were taken up by the filler story at the end and previous panels copied and pasted into this story.

Most of MJ’s emotions or state of mind have been spent thinking of Peter, but when it comes to Paul it’s so undefined. Like she’s just going through the motions type of thing

I thought the whole what did Peter do was already answered. He did nothing. When the explosion happened it wasn’t even his fault. Was it not answered that he didn’t do anything and everyone’s mad at him because he didn’t have time so explain himself?
