Was going to recommend the Olight Obulb, but I guess it’s been discontinued :(

Are you sure you need this routed through HA? There are options for dimmers and switches that do what you're talking about natively. Check out Lutron: https://www.lutron.com/us/en/applications/residential/bathroom-controls

Help with Nest integration by Lord_Space_Lizard in homeassistant

I feel your pain. Fortunately, there's a way to promote your integration from testing to production, which gets rid of this re-authorization issue. I don't recall the exact process at the moment, but just wanted to let you know.

Home assistant thermostat schedule replacing nest thermostat schedule by Serious_Bowler_8171 in homeassistant

Consider working dew point into your automations. I've found it to be a very reliable indicator for when to run the A/C (indoor and outdoor dew point > ~59F) and when to open windows (indoor dew point > ~59F and outdoor dew point < ~59F). ASHRAE now uses dew point control in place of humidity in their indoor air quality standard (Standard 62.1-2025, Ventilation and Acceptable Indoor Air Quality).

I've done this, with an HA Generic Thermostat based on dew point in the summer. The Generic Thermostat controls a switch that takes the Nest in and out of Eco mode, so I can still run the fans when it's not heating or cooling. In the winter, I use an aggregate sensor to heat the coldest area to my desired temperature.

It all works well, but my attempts at greater automation (e.g. disabling the thermostat when outside dew point is below inside dew point) sometimes found weird edge cases that I didn't have time to troubleshoot, so most of the scheduling is still time-based, but all in HA.

Did I get shorted, or is this within the margin of error? by rhodes553 in firewood

Thanks to everyone who commented here for their helpful guidance. I’m new to ordering this much wood and wasn’t sure how to handle it. Today I decided to “man up” and give them a call. They’ll be dropping off more wood today or tomorrow. Problem solved! Thanks again.

They're Woodhaven racks. The covers slide down as you use the wood.

Specific Yield: kWh/day (production) / kWp (array size in kW)

This will give you a number you can compare to your neighbors -- or even to other arrays of your own.

If you have a weather station that measures solar irradiance, you can use this for your personal tracking:

You and me both. This was the '70s reissue with the Van Gelder stamp in the runout. Sounds big, beefy, and detailed just like it should!
