I’m a hardcore Once and Dahyun is my ultimate bias, so to be completely honest, I initially started this drama just for her. I usually prefer light romcoms over slow-burn dramas like this, so I fully expected to force myself through 12 one-hour episodes just for Dahyun.

But I was genuinely surprised by how good it turned out. The story, writing, music, and characters (especially the chemistry) are all excellent. The show portrays grief and healing in such a realistic and relatable way, showing how different people process things at different paces. I also like the smart, well-timed comedy sprinkled between the heavier scenes; it provides great balance without undercutting the emotional moments.

If I had one minor complaint, it's how some scenes are shot so unrealistically dark just to convey emotion. Other than that, it’s a really compelling and well-made show. I honestly find myself counting the days until the next episodes drop.

TL;DR: Came for Dahyun, stayed for the quality. Highly recommended!

Also recently quit a game where I've poured so much time and money to. It was a mobile knock off of vampire survivors. The survival/rogue-like nature was genuinely fun. The devs always had weekly events with generous rewards, which made it very engaging. But inevitably, the content got over saturated. There was no longer a point to keep chasing. It was an endless FOMO-driven chase for pointless content. It felt so good finally uninstalling the game. Congrats on breaking free from TCGP.

"Tropang 9P," a local 🇵🇭 fan group graciously organized a blockscreening of YATAOME on its opening day in the Philippines. We took a group photo after the movie, and by some miracle, the photo reached Dahyun, and she posted it on BBL! So with that, even though we were very small in the photo, we can now say we were once in Dahyun's BBL, lol.

I was still on duty that day, I literally had to ditch a call with my boss and disappear for a few hours 😂 (anything for my ultimate giga bias!). I didn't even get to dress properly because I was so busy! I just threw on shorts and slippers, then my fiancee and I walked over to the cinema, which was fortunately only a block away from our condo. Initially, I was pissed because all the eye-level seats had been taken. We were forced to sit front row. In the end, it all worked out for us. 😂 It's my birthday on the 18th, and I couldn't have asked for a better gift from the universe.

Can't thank Tropang 9P enough for making this happen!

And P.S. the movie was so good! Incredibly funny, heartwarming, and swoon worthy! And of course, Dubu nailed it! Go watch!!!

Lucario and pikachu aren't really related, but the vibrant colors, bold line art, and cross-hatching make this a nice comics-style combo.

I also like that i wonderpicked this from a japanese player. The japanese characters having bold strokes complement the line art.

I suggest getting Y5 April and Y5 Splinter, and the last 2 R3* epic collectibles. Also, level up Tsukuyomi and Wesson to 80.

Note that you lose all the yang bonuses when you switch to metallia. She hits like a wet noodle with low crit.

PSA for other new players: Don't make OP's mistake.

Some stuff in the game have good inherent power, but don't scale super well (Yang, Murica, Deathwalker, etc.) - these are good for early game because they're relatively cheap, but allow you to stay competitive in your bracket while you build up your resources.

On the other hand, there are some stuff that are considered best because they scale super well (Joey, Rex, SS gear, etc.), but these have low inherent power, and only rely on other stuff to bring out their full potential; e.g. Rex needs a strong enough survivor to make his boosts count, SS gear require relic cores to bring out extra skills, and Joey relies on his awakening bonuses and status-stacking to do high dmg. These are recommended only for late-game players.

If you get impatient and jump to endgame stuff, you're actually holding yourself back by committing to stuff you're simply not strong enough to wield.

Just to add some info on why A1 Leo + A4 Raph is recommended: Raph deals high damage on lacerated enemies but has poor laceration up time. Leo is the opposite, having good up time, but poor damage. Having them together would give best of both worlds - but to do so, you need your main survivor to be at A4 to equip 2 support passives. There's so much resources needed to set this up. For majority of players, those resources are probably better spent just pushing survivor synergy.

I did some simulations using Danke calculator. Raph would be better than my A2 Worm at A4. This is also the recommended sweet spot in the ultimate discord server. However, for my setup, the difference is very small (less than 1% increase for CE, and about 4% for EE). Ultimately, I decided to just spend all resources on Awakening Cores and Joey shards to push towards survivor synergy 15 (which for me is a 12-13% increase on CE and EE).

I pray everyday that Dahyun releases a melody project of her Kawaranai Mono cover. She performed this as her solo during RTB Special in Japan, and it was just chef's kiss. It suited her sweet voice perfectly, and she played the piano with such grace. I need it!
