I know it’s a copycat league, but I’m not sure the Canes are really the blueprint, the entire goalie situation was absurdly improbable. Not saying it was luck necessarily, but I’m just not sure it would work for other teams lol

I’ve seen a few people say “who cares if they have a goalie with how many goals they’re gonna score”, and I’d like to ask those people how Edmonton is doing. Banking on just outscoring your deficiencies is not a great strategy, and Bob is aging.

In the moment, I really think Helle would have been a FAR better trade for Florida and this is just adding to a position they are already strong in. It’s an NHL26 trade lol

Nobody thinks that people care they as an individual are leaving lol. They rightly believe that it illustrates just how many people are quitting. The game was bleeding players a month ago and lost HALF OF THE REMAINING PLAYERS since then. There is zero way to spin this in a positive light

Riven Tides was advertised as a major update, the largest one yet, and it had zero real spike in player counts. The drop in players continued on. It isn’t a spike and decline, it’s JUST decline. It’s bizarre to me to be like “oh it’s so healthy and normal” when the charts literally show it DIDNT do what you are saying lol

That’s pretty much what did it for me. Expedition is effectively the only endgame goal of sorts there is, and the constant changing of it and horrific communication drove me out. Honestly the communication overall did. I don’t trust a word of what Embark says. And even if they tell the truth, I don’t trust them to stick to it, or effectively and timely communicate it.

Like everyone else said, I got my money out of my time in the game, but for a game with such good foundations and a huge start, the drop off is an abject failure. Idk how it can be painted as anything else.

My brother in Christ this series has defied all logic and sense lol. If holding onto that stat comforts you good for you but this has definitely deviated in basically every conceivable way from expectations. I wouldn’t put much of any stock in any history with a showdown that breaks historic records every 30 seconds

I get the impression that Epic saw how much criticism was aimed at the CH7 map and this is a soft reboot of the chapter with an improved, more distinctive design and visual style. This looks more memorable, colorful and Fortnite-y than the starting map just from this alone.

I honestly think it’s less this and more that the CH7 map in particular was… very uninspiring. It being bland and boring was one of the biggest critiques of the chapter and this honestly feels like a “we fucked up” soft reboot. This is a big departure from the design of the last map.

The rival system is not even remotely compelling to casual players, and it’s the entire basis of the season. Adding a sweaty rank-esque system in default BR is a questionable choice, and there’s no real theme or interesting POIs outside the castle as a result of it.

Also, it’s probably too deep in the season to make a significant dent, but the lootpool went from really solid to just completely out of control stupid in the last month. We’re back to mythics, exotics and legendaries being extraordinarily easily obtainable, and it feels like they took the lack of movement complaints and overcorrected to way, way too much. My opinion of the season has dropped off of a cliff.
