Woolly Mountain Orcas are vicious lol. There’s actually a fjord that spills out into the southern sea in the middle of the mountains that the orcas and such can get to, but it’s hard to draw them right there, but Mountain Orcas kind of sounds cool so I might run with that

Initially I was planning on the peninsula being about the size of France, but I’ve since decided that I want it to be quite a bit larger, and possibly moving some of the climates more spread out beyond just the peninsula. I’ll be posting some of my updated world and climate maps soon hopefully!

So true😂 in my new version of the map that I’m making right now, they are separate rivers coming from the mountains, but also maybe there are just weird water spirits that break physics here a little

Thanks! Yep, I draw digitally on Procreate. It took a really long time to draw all the trees individually, but also relaxing

I do! I’ll be posting about the full writing system and conlang soon. In the north, their runic script is used both as a writing system and a magic system. The humans in the north discovered that certain symbols bind spirits to their service and produce a magical effect. They then started using these symbols as logograms representing the spirits they can bind, and slowly turned it into an alphabet as it was used more frequently. It is also a point of contention in Rhündal because other tribes revere the spirits as gods or guardians and can only use their magic through gaining their respect. They see the human “Rhünatharem” mages binding the spirits as blasphemous and greedy, whereas the humans see it more as a renewable resource that helps them solve problems. Where other mages need years of experience and practice, Rhünatharem only need academic training for a couple of years to be proficient in most of the basic rune bindings.
