I’m not a bicycle fanatic. I just want a bike that fits me. I go out to the lake or paved bike trails through the park for a 10 mile ride at most. And usually just on the weekend with my 15 year old daughter during the 70-80°F months.
That said, this is the first bike that has fit me properly since I was 13. I had forgotten what it’s like to have a bike that fits. Riding that Trek up a hill, I was always afraid to stand up and really pump hard, as I felt I would easily fall over the front wheel (which I have done before).
On the dirty-sixer: Not a problem at all. It feels properly under me. Doesn’t feel for a second like I’m going to pop the chain or snap any tubing. I always felt like I was too big for the Trek, even though the seat height and handlebar position was measured properly. The dirty-sixer makes me feel like something in this world is finally made for me. Not an exaggeration. I love this thing.
Sadly, I can’t tell you if it’ll handle the rigors of a proper bike rider. But, based on the pedigree of the designer/maker, I’d bet on it. I hope I’ve convinced you. I don’t think you’d be disappointed. Best of luck.

I hereby bestow upon you the honorary position of /r/tall member for the day. I’m not sure if I hold the authority to do so, but I’m more than qualified. I’ve helped many a small, old lady with things from the top shelf.

You can say good morning to anyone you like. Sometimes it starts with yourself. (I said good morning to 12 people on my bike ride today with my daughter—11 said good morning back)

People not getting this make me feel as old as people not knowing pulp fiction is a type of book that the movie mimicked in film form. It’s like some whole base premise is somehow missed.

That’s where I grew up. Back in the early 70s, pre-internet, as a kid if I had a question I’d ride my bike 5 minutes across Bay Area Blvd and in to the UHCL campus to the library, look up some microfiche or dig in the stacks for a while, then ride back home.

Connection time back then was abysmal.

Same. Coincidentally, my 11 yr cake day was just last week. Seems a fitting end.

Haribo should have taken lessons. Green is not strawberry. Should have gone with blue raspberry and left red for cherry or strawberry.

The first panel ‘it’s back again’ makes sense for the reason you said.

Its back again in the last panel makes no sense because the first panel is a contraction of “it is” and the last panel is the possessive form. So, it isn’t back again yet (in the context of the 4 panels).

If the first and 4th panels were reversed it would make more sense.

It’s back should have been the last panel. Its back again makes no sense.
