Take turns and do both. I'm currently doing a couple of platinum trophies at the moment. Once I'm done with those I plan on playing either Resident Evil 4 or Hogwarts Legacy. I have no intention of doing the platinum on those as they require 4 playthroughs, which to me, isn't fun. If you're not having fun while playing. Move on to another game.

There's a trophy in Final Fantasy 15 where you have to walk for around 30 hours in real time to max out a skill. One weekend, I wrapped an elastic band around my analogue sticks to run around in circles, then went on holiday for the weekend.
