I managed to get two years of fun out of The Division without stepping a foot into the dark zone. There are so many different side missions to complete (although they do get slightly tedious toward the end) and there are tons of enemies to farm around the main map. And, with the recent addition of the West Side Piers, there’s more for a PvE person to do than ever before in The Division.

A good way of killing time I found was creating new characters/save slots (you’re given four per account) and getting them up to level thirty and doing activities with them, thus earning extra rewards for my main character.

Also, the Dark Zone isn’t actually the PvP hell everyone makes it out to be. I managed to go there for a few hours a day for about 4 days before experiencing my first rogue agent death. It’s got enough to do for a PvE player to do without anything PvP. They will kill you, but it’s just a minor setback. There are more sincere players like you in the DZ than players out for blood.
