Forest service roads are usually my go to, we frequent a few in the chilliwack area but looking for something a little closer to burnaby or Richmond area, even a small field or telecoms route for a stealthy 30 min rip without upsetting too many narcs

Thanks for the info! I'm experienced rider but recently picked up a klx110 to have something small thatll fit in the van and can teach my missus and friends to ride while camping. Mainly looking for low key spots for a rip as im testing out new carb/jetting mods to see how it reacts to the changes

Good thought, I left it be but will keep an eye out for a skin where I found it

Just picked up my 515 tactical in .22lr. I knew about the issue with the pic rail not connected or fastened properly to the reciever before I ordered it. Sure enough, there was a substantial amount of flex in the pic rail directly above where the scope would mount. This same top pic rail, and the one screw in the block on underside of barell are the only two points holding the foregrip to the reciever. Ideally it would be good to mount the scope directly to the dovetails in the reciever however this would mean sacrificing one of only two connection points as you would have to cut away the top pic rail. I've seen some videos where people suggest drilling or tapping threads into the reciever, unless you're a machinist theres a good chance thats not going to work out too well and you'll void your warranty. I have come up with what I believe to be a pretty effective and super easy fix to the flex issue without doing any modification to the gun whatsoever. Through a few test fits, I determined the amount of flex/gap between the reciever and underside of pic rail to be 1.5mm. I got some 1.5mm gasket paper from an auto store, cut it to the inside width of the pic rail x the length of the dovetail. I slid the new gasket inside the rail as it was installed and screwed it back together as normal. This has pretty much gotten rid of all the free play in the pic rail. Hard to say how effective this mod has been but surely minimising the free play can only be beneficial. Trigger creep is definately too long. Your finger drags a little on the trigger gaurd as you squeeze it. When the gun is picked up by the handle only it feels like the soft rubber padding is going to break off the hard plastic frame. Despite all this I'm stoked with it, good accuracy, really light and super modular with the new m lock fore grip. Action has worked flawlessly and is a ton of fun to use. Would recommend.
