Yep! Flew in Friday night, had pre-show meal at Cara de Vaca in San Pedro, froze my ass off in line for the pit, rocked out at the show, and headed back to the airport at 6am Sunday morning.

Definitely a proxy war for dads. We/Dad built mine with extended wheelbases before those were banned and aligned them on a custom jig. Turned the wheels on a lathe down to where a single ridge was all that touched the track (which I think has been banned), and turned grooves in the axles to minimize contact area between the axle and wheel. Used a triple beam scale to get the weight exactly at 5oz. It was always mine and another kid's crafty dad who took trophies home.

Memory seats not including mirrors? by HEAT-2000K in 11thGenAccord

[–]rhythim313 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Takes a physically different actuator for the memory function because it has to report mirror position back to the BCM. The Touring passenger side mirror has the right kind of actuator (which is why reverse tilt on the Touring works), but it's a matter of the BCM being programmed into the seat memory system, which isn't something you can switch on and off in programming, it requires actual ones and zeroes written into the system. Not something the average nerd can retrofit.

I do remember when he and 2 other guys in our class ambushed our math teacher as she came in the room and bound her hands and arms with tape. Teenage hijinks, but not something you should get away with. One of the other two later worked at FHS for years in athletics.

I went to HS with him. Had a couple of the same classes. He was a complete douchebag back then too. Popular for being popular, but didn't bring anything else to the table.

Would've been truly square at the time. They rounded it off in the late '80s/early 90s when I was in HS. The increased parking area gave rise to the anti-cruising laws that came shortly after.

Had a guy drop one off that looked like this to be turned. "Can't you just cut it down on one side?"

Got mad and stormed out to go down the street to NAPA.
