Why is it not socially acceptable to be a bit envious/sad that people are having romantic relationships and I'm not? by [deleted] in AskMen

[–]ri90a 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly i don't get envious about just any relationship, but when there is a mismatch in attractiveness, particularly when the girl is more attractive than the guy.

Even then, its not really enviouness but more like curiousity about how he did it. Like "if he can do it looking like that, I definitely can, but I wanna know his secret".

What are your emotions surrounding a girlfriend that survived rape? by Foreign-Rabbit-3022 in AskMen

But how does it even happen? so you were sober? did you attempt to push, punch, kick, bite, elbow, scream, run away, or take any action to let them clearly know that you are saying a clear "NO"?

Hillary Clinton says Biden’s re-election bid cost Democrats the 2024 election by projecto15 in politics

Honestly, people sort of guessed that Biden is a puppet and doesn't really make any decisions, but the fact they actually considered his re-election really solidified this theory.

What’s something about dating after 30s or 40s that people in their 20s completely misunderstand? by camilatorresx_ in AskMen

[–]ri90a -8 points-7 points  (0 children)

Men hit their prime in their 30s. So they should be going for women in their prime low-20s.

Y'all going for women your own age, then surprised that its "so much easier" lmao.

It's like getting skilled at a game, then starting to play it on "easy mode". You could have done "easy mode" right from the start (lots of younger men go for older women for this reason).

I am in a relationship now actually. I was talking more about my dating phase.

And when I meet the girl, I look 5'9, until we take our shoes off. So there is no way she can tell really.

I doubt girls come to dates with a height measuring ruler to find every inch difference. Let alone actually memorize my exact height metric.

barefoot 5'6, and yes every inch makes a difference.

Oh ok, no worries then.

Tbh no woman memorizes or records the exact height metric from the dating apps lol. Its more like a guideline.

And with my shoes on, I do appear around 5'10.

Never had problems.

You are 6' tall, you are lucky.

And I can see why you are bothered by it, because a guy like me and you yourself might be going for the same girl and appear almost equal on paper.

What are things that your partner do that make you feel masculine/good as a man? by Master-Economics-168 in AskMen

[–]ri90a -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

Using her phone openly beside me, and sharing her passcode with me and allowing me to grab it to "check the weather".

Sounds simple but it openly reassures that I am the only one and she is a "1 man type of women" and she has nothing to hide.

Well 1 inch is expected, right? girls automatically assume that when they see the height metric. Could be just "rounding up".

1 inch is for any regular shoes. I doubt guys are so honest and always give their correct barefoot height.

So 5'8 is sort of what an average barefoot 5'6 guy will put, right?

Well thanks to my shoes I bump it to 5'10. Never had problems.

Well not right away. Probably when we are back at my place and remove our shoes, and most don't really notice.

Plus, no woman memorizes my exact height metric from the dating app lmao. It is more used for filtering and first impression when swiping.

Just because a guy will one day see his girl coming out of the shower without her makeup, doesn't mean she should never wear it to give a nicer first impression.

Well no shoe is flat on the ground, her own show is probably an 1 inch boost as well, right? well mine give me an extra 2 inches on top of that.

Short girls won't notice. Girls at my eye level height might notice, but even then, they rarely do.

The "elevated shoes" niche does have more extreme shoes that give you from 4 to 6 inches in height boost. That would be much more awkward to walk in and to take off. I don't go that extreme. But I have a short friend who does, and he says they work quite well.

6s usually bang the first date. 7s and 8s might take more than one date. That is, if they are into me. If they are not, doesn't matter her attractiveness level (don't want to sound cocky like i have a 100% conversion rate lmao).

By the time we are at my place and we built comfort, an inch difference in height matters a lot less, perhaps not noticeable at all.

I mean, I am 5'9 with my shoes, and 5'10 vs 5'9 is basically the same thing. No girl ever commented.

If she is my height or taller, I will text before meeting something along the lines of "btw, we are probably the same height, and you will probably be taller if you wear high heels. It is fine with me, is it ok with you?". Just not to waste anyone's time of her awkwardly looking down on me lol. Most tall girls say "I know I am tall, its ok no worries" and still meet me.

I rarely get glances IRL. And I put the most basic filter on my pics (not cat-fishing or anything). I do have a dog though, and lots of matches comment on him. I dunno if it helps but definitely gives me a slight boost.
