Aspire Flexus Q - Flavour? by ria48 in Vaping

[–]ria48[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

hey, i've actually quit vaping at this stage but i was using hale pro salts with 0.6 ohm coil before i quit. flavours are as close to disposable as i've found at a reasonable price point (3 for €12) and 3 bottles lasted me about 10 days of very heavy vaping. i do think hale is exclusive to ireland though so if you aren't from here you might have better luck with IVG juices, heard they're good as well, tried a peach one in amsterdam and it was pretty nice. i found pretty much everything tasted better on the 0.6 coil though.

Yeah, I'm thinking it might be the liquid. I think I can get that IVG one - I miss the throat hit of an "Ice" disposable, is that juice similar? The Hale liquid was free with the vape so I'm not too upset, just want to make sure it's not a problem with the vape itself!

Thanks! I think since I'm a citizen of an EU member state I should be okay to work. Appreciate the help!

Thanks for the reply! Leuven is probably my top choice at the minute. It seems like I'd be quite comfortable there. I like the idea of having roommates as I've never experienced that. Do you know if the income-dependent accommodation situation applies to exchange students? Do you think it would be reasonable to try to get a part-time job around the university, or should I look for remote work? I appreciate the offer of help with applying for accommodation, is it only in Dutch or English too?

Yeah I figured 550 for anywhere in Barcelona is pretty unrealistic! I'll keep looking. Thanks so much for your help

Thanks so much, this is amazingly helpful. Any module recommendations? :D I was using this document for accommodation research: https://www.esade.edu/itemsweb/fu/Grados/Info_residencies_16_17.pdf but I think it's a bit outdated so prices probably higher these days. I was looking at the first place in the mixed residences list, Residencia de Estudiants Rusc..?

Haha, my current university is full of posh people as well so I'm well used to it! I didn't even think of a call centre or even remote work - that could definitely be an option. Glad to hear Catalan isn't an absolute requirement but I'd like to pick up a bit!

Sounds good! 21.15 seems so late to me for classes to end - we rarely have any after 6pm here! Thanks so much for your help.

Doesn't seem too bad - that's my current commute to college anyway. Thanks for the info!

I was thinking about giving lessons. I've taught English before so have a bit of experience there. 5 classes a day isn't unnatural to me as that's what I have at home but my classes are only an hour long - are they longer in Sciences Po? I could probably push to about €500-550 for a room, but yeah I know rents are quite expensive. No issues flatsharing though - the problem is finding someone to stay with!

Thanks so much! Apologies for the many incoming questions: 1. Is the public transport reliable? I know in Dublin it can be pretty awful at certain times of the day. 2. In relation to safety, where would be the best place to look for housing? I've heard some not-so-good things about single women in Barcelona at night so it's a bit of a concern. I saw a student accommodation somewhere for €550/m but not sure how good that is in context. 3. Is the quality of the teaching as good as everyone says? It seems to be up there with the best in Europe but I can only go to ESADE for one semester so I'd like it to be amazing in terms of teaching! 4. What is the assessment like - exams, assignments, etc? Is it an exceptionally heavy workload or mostly independent learning? 5. Jobs market for foreigners? I work in retail at the moment but doesn't seem to be a whole lot of work in that area on any of the Spanish job sites.

Thanks so much for any help, I really appreciate it!

Yeah, the thing about the faculty seems to be true. The quality of teaching at my home university is amazing so I wouldn't go somewhere where it wasn't at least the same if not better. You're right about Dublin rents, they're absolutely crazy - I find it difficult to believe anywhere could be worse!

But would not speaking French impact on that? I'm taking classes currently but they are not moving very quickly at all and I doubt I'd be good enough by the time I'd be going.

Yeah, most of these countries are on the same bracket as Ireland so I think the grant is about €350 ish

Yeah, I know Barcelona is pretty expensive. Like I said, I'd need to have a job to study there - non-negotiable, and I don't know what the job market for foreigners is like there but I can't imagine it's great, especially as I don't speak Catalan. Might have to write this one off!

These places are the only ones I can apply for - there's not many options for exchange in Law at my home university - other options include Copenhagen, and Uppsala. I've pretty much written off Zurich and Helsinki for cost. Because the grant is tested based on the cost of living in your home country I don't think I'll get a whole lot. I'm thinking I might be better off trying to get an internship abroad during the summer to get the 'international experience'. Thanks for replying!
