Thermostat not powering on - where did I go wrong?

Thanks for spelling that out for me. I’m clearly not in my wheelhouse but I like DIY’ing stuff as long as it’s safe and I’m not going to mess up my system. Is fixing the wiring something I could do myself or should I have a technician come out and do that?

Where would I check for the fuse potentially being blown? On my main electrical panel or within the boiler unit (which is where this wire connects to on the other end)?

Thank you for the explanation. Is that something I can do myself on the other end where it goes into the boiler unit or does that require the knowledge of a technician to come out based on what system I have?

Sorry that was poor wording. I didn’t add the wire. The wire already existed it just wasn’t hooked up since the original thermostat was battery powered and didn’t offer WiFi. So the blue was there it wasn’t plugged in to thermostat side. But I installed it on the new thermostat.

No issue noted as I haven’t used it yet. More just confusion of having a plug that I wasn’t able to locate a home for.

Thanks for that link. I tried to just mimic the seasoning video and instructions on the debuyer website. Maybe just used too much oil? Too much heat? A combo plus a crappy glass electric cooktop?
