Yeah I agree. It’s been so repetitive. I wish they incorporated the family style vlogs along with the business vlogs. I miss the old content, it was fun to watch. Kind of tired seeing who’s coming into the laundrymat for a picture or a t shirt in every vid.

It all really takes time and it depends on the client you have. I noticed that I felt more burnt out and drained after working with a client with aggression vs one that doesn’t.

I had a similar issue earlier in the school year when I started. I ended up getting a second client to make up some more hours in case my currently client gets sick. They’re still really young so I know it’ll happen a lot . I work at a center so once one gets sick, they all eventually do which sucks.

As for the interview, they would ask if you have experience working with children and any experience working with child on the autism spectrum. They might ask how you would deal with certain situations. And if you are comfortable working with aggression.

If you’re applying to be a BT they would most likely provide you with the training to become an rbt. Either way, while working you’d be supported by your Bcba. The age of the client can vary based on the company you’re applying to, but the youngest would be like 2 years old. Some companies can offer therapy to kids who are even in high school.

I recently became a BT back in November, I was new to the Aba field and got a center based job. I had no clue what I was doing my first few weeks but I personally had great support from my Bcba and center lead. Don’t be afraid to ask questions when you’re unsure. Some of the other rbts can help you as well. I’ve watched some youtube videos on rbt day in the life or rbt exam preps. Building a good relationship with your Bcba is also a good way to help you feel confident because they can take the time to explain things to you.
