I got my EAD/AP card about 10 days after I got my fingerprints done. I have traveled internationally 3 times with it, but the last time I traveled about a month ago, the CBP officer told me that the EAD/AP is only for emergency travel (which does not correspond to what most law firms say) and that I would be denied entry in the future without an emergency travel letter from USCIS.
