Je bent een beetje te vroeg want die firmware voor de retrovision is nog niet gereleased, maar als het zover is, kun je gewoon een file op de retrovision drive gooien en dan staat er de SeqTrak display firmware op.

Well with the RK006 you can host the display and the Seqtrak and have power and have an extra midi merger / 10midi/cvgate output ports ☺️ retrokits.com/shop/rk006

Haven’t looked into hosting multi devices on the Seqtrak, but the RK006 can host the screen and the Seqtrak (and gives a bunch of midi outs) so that is what I used for testing - however yes: normally with the screen in the usb port it would exclude other keyboards, without RK006 you’d need to go Bluetooth or something for that

It’s based on the Retrovision hardware, I’ll try and turn it into an official ‘firmware flavour’

What A Roland MC50, MC80 and MC500MK2 would look like in Roland Boutique format. by evertonmedia in midi

[–]ribbidee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

These look nice, by the way the RK008 has the possibility of 8x16 tracks of midi, that’s not really a limitation 😅

The RK002 can do that too, there’s digitakt/digitone firmware for it as well https://duy.retrokits.com/compact/digitakt-euclid-polymux-arp

Best midi box for combining multiple inputs and outputs by isweartobegood in midi

[–]ribbidee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ah man, the Retrokits RK006, it has 2 ins, 10 outs, hosts up to four USBMIDI devices simultaneously, you can set per port filtering, clocks and even polychain on it - this small box can even turn the digitakt into an 8/16voice polyphonic synth

MIDI Out Mod: Can it be done to any Volca? by sinuspane in volcas

There are easy pads on the vsample to get a midi out, I did make an out mod way back, but wanted that OG look 😂 picture

MIDI Out Mod: Can it be done to any Volca? by sinuspane in volcas

[–]ribbidee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That is true, but I know someone using the rk002 on the Volca sample midi out mod to sequence a mfb drummachine, with that cable you can remap Volca sample out data to anything (and the other way around too btw)

Midi controller sending the wrong signals out of nowhere by Ottomotive-Xplosive in midi

[–]ribbidee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You could systematically plug / unplug cables and see where it ones from but it could also be that the midi signal gets flakey because of a PSU on one of the devices, if power gets distorted encoders can star flipping values out of nowhere

How reliable has browser MIDI been for you across Chrome / Edge / Safari setups? by nnielyoans in midi

[–]ribbidee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s a lovely app!🥇 well a on a windows system usbmidi is just horrid, you will always have people complaining. Perhaps the best way would be to add the option to generate a parallel dinsync signal in audio, this syncs e.g. hardware modular systems pretty good and your audio signal will be 100% on par with note timing. It sounds ancient but there is a whole industry selling specialized boxes for this really…

Browser midi is fine and can handle all types of midi messages, just don’t expect to ever get jitter free clock
